Can anyone honestly say that every player in the squad expects to be given his chance on the basis that that player helped

as we don't have many out of contract next June i see no reason why
we would have to spend very big to change things...

that said TB may have other plans IF we get promoted..

PREMIER LEAGUE AND BARCLAYS
ANNOUNCE COMPETITION NAME
CHANGE
Monday 10:00am 14 May 2007

The Premier League and Barclays today announced that from the start of the 2007/08
season the competition name will change to the Barclays Premier League on a global
basis.
The competition is currently known as the Barclays Premiership in the UK and the
Barclays English Premier League overseas.
The decision was taken after extensive research with fans and other stakeholders during
the Premier League's recent re-branding exercise showed the need for a single unified
identity.
Premier League Chief Executive, Richard Scudamore, said: "We are confident that our
simplified and strengthened global identity will help fans associate better with our fantastic
competition".
Robert E. Diamond Jr, Barclays President, said: "We're delighted to be the title global
sponsor of the Barclays Premier League because of its huge appeal among fans across
the world. Introducing a single name for the competition presents our brand in a
consistent way across the world."

Too early for this thread, but of the starting line up from last night only Stockdale, Duffy, Dunk, Knockaert would make it in the Premiership. Everyone else is a squad player who you wouldn't want to start next season. Murray/Pocognoli (or whatever) have shown they are not quite good enough. Bruno, too old. Norwood,Stephens and Murphy are too lightweight. Baldock flat out not good enough for the Premiership (but acceptable for now) Of the back up Sidwell shifted out of the Premiership like Murray so won't be good enough. Bong - no chance. Hemed not good enough. Solly, Goldson and Maenpaa could come through.

So we would need to strengthen quite deeply in my view.

You must be a pretty good cricket bowler who gets a lot of batsmen out because you sure are dismissing a lot of players.

Exactly. You can call the Premier League anything you want (except the Premiership, because that's rugger,,,,,,Rugger? lol......rugger!!....who says 'rugger' any more) but it's still the first division.

For Rugger, it's the AVIVA Premiership. I still call it Rugger as I'm Upper class

Are actually questioning Barclays carefully considered corporate messaging??

I'm holding the stakeholders responsible.

Would losing tonight halt any mention of the words Premiership or Premier League?

If so, it's almost worth it.
