Left winger and maybe a back up left back. To be honest not that fussed about a striker one would be good but have confidence in Murray and think Barnes will help with ten +

Big fan of Poyet but he is living on another planet if he seriously thinks Hart will be the 20 goals a season striker. Come off it. I'd expect us to sign a big, experienced striker, a physical presence, someone maybe in the mould of Owusu plus left winger which everyone knows about. The loaning of McNulty looks stranger and stranger when Poyet says he's now after another left-back unless he thinks McNulty is just not up to it.

Not really McNulty is a first team player and doubt he would have been happy waiting for Painter to get suspended/injured. Loan him out keep his fitness up and get a youngster in who won't mind sitting on the bench to gain a bit of first team experience but can come in if needed.

Morais, another winger maybe Monkhouse, a top striker and a centre back.

Just quoting you Gav, but what is it with people saying we need a centre back? We have four already - Greer, El Abd, Elphick and Dunk. Plus if neccessary Calderon/Painter can play there. It might not be the best in depth but at least we're covered sufficiently for this league.

Left midfield/winger is a priority, then a striker and back up left back. Can't see any other signings.

I just think that the defence had been terrible for the last two/three seasons, that change was needed. Calderon and Painter came in and barely put a foot wrong. The only mistakes at the back were coming from Elphick and El Abd. Controversial maybe, but thats just what I think. Maybe it is time for a change, maybe not? Surely they will mature into better players. But to me, they dont 100% fit into our style of play and are prone to some cock ups still. Just opinion like.

El Abd ???? ...he never put a foot wrong from when he came back from injury...was the most improved player under Gus. (And Gus said he was the best player ) .
Did he make mistakes ? I cant remember any really ... maybe im forgetting !

Think its just Gus being effusive and giving the guys some confidence.....of course Harty isnt going to score 20 goals...he never has, and never will. Gus is just throwing down a gauntlet to these guys...saying 'you all have a chance'.
In fact, NONE of our forwards are going to score 20 goals in a season, but he is giving them the chance.....as he has by giving OGH another year.
We have one very good man manager as well as MANAGER

Hmmm...

We need at least 3 good strikers on the books due to potential injuries / suspensions...

Le fondre.

Been in love with that man since his early Rochdale days. Surely Rotherham in their current temporary stadia cannot afford to turn down a very large offer. Saw a couple of championship bids went in for him earlier in the window.

I reckon we won't get this ellusive striker as its been left well late and their must be a reason for it.No way can we gain promotion with our poor frontline!

Can't believe we haven't spent a penny yet:glare:
