Why? He's only doing what Sidwell's doing at Chelski, give or take a few decimal places. He's putting aside any thoughts of personal ambition and just drawing the wages. The boy Sullivan is now practically halfway to his testimonial season and maybe needs to have a quiet word with himself.

Is the incorrect answer. Like most young keepers he needs games to get experience and I feel it would benefit him far more going out on a seasons loan to a Conference side. Play some competitive games, get some confidence and experience in order to deal with day to day professional football. Its always a problem being a keeper because if you're not first choice you are out of the team and you can't play anywhere else so cannot get first team action in another position.

I understand that we've already made an inquiry about Whittaker from Port Vale who's out of contract in the Summer. Can't say I'm surprised after his performance against us in Vale's 3-2 win at the Withdean.

I see Adam Eckersley (LB) has been released by Port Vale - Wilkins had been after him earlier in the season, when Matt Richards went back to Ipswich. He may be an option if we can't get Richards on a permanent deal.

saw Clarke a bit when he was on loan at Kidderminster. Useful but probably less able as a shot stopper than Kuipers - would be good cover I reckon but doubt if Leeds would be chasing him
