More development around the stadium planned

Drawings and details on the council website.

So it will be situated parallel to the north end of the west stand, between the top of the steps and the wall of legends images. Because they'll dig out part of that bank it doesnt look like it will effect much of the current pedestrian space. & it looks to include a raised walkway between the car park & the west stand.

I wonder what that will mean for the current bit of car park the club own next to bennetts field, and the grass bank next to it. A hotel still an option?

You can bet your life on it
They must really struggle for nearby parking for Directors .Players senior staff, media, American Express/Sponsors ,visiting VIPs and I know Tunnel club members of which there are 50 have spaces next to Bennetts field
Soon 1901s will be told to get P&R

Kiboshs my plan to cover the walkway round the west and extend out the hospitality areas (PB friendly that part) and make west upper concourse a bit bigger.

Plans are now showing, I assume this will be for the players as well then they can access the ground without having to get through the fans via the walkway.
Makes sense for the players, directors and high profile guests to be able to get to the stadium without fear of assault or aggravation. Sad but there are a lot of nutters about.

After the Newcastle match I took my 8 year old nephew to the bit where the players car park is, to the right of the Terrace, and was pleasantly surprised to see a few players breaking the non-signing and non-selfie ruling – JPVH and Jason Steele to name a few – all signing away and selfies galore.

But the biggest rule breaker of all... was our Fab! Who spent a good 15 minutes walking the temporary barriers, signing autos and posing for every selfie he was asked of (including my nephew – who was esctastic). Barbs won't like it, but I had a new level of respect for these three in particular after this. Made a lot of kids (and adults) very happy.:clap2:
