Not exactly a ringing send-off from Hughton?

My thoughts too. I even thought Tony's send off was just a little cool, even though most of the words were fine.

Thanks, Nathan, for the passion, commitment, player-focus and, most of all, for 4 vital points last season. Good luck. See you back at the Albion some day, no doubt.

Seemed lacking in enthusiasm to me - just going through the motions. Nothing wrong with the words used, but lacked real passion, I felt.

You do know when words are written down, they weren't necessarily said in the style YOU imagine.

I love Calde.

You love Calde.

We all love Calde.

But none of us can really know whether he'd be an amazing coach or not. He's intelligent, well-educated, you'd hope he'd understand about man-management, and seems like an absolutely corking chap. But whether he has the X factor that makes a coach stand out, who can say? :)

Best of luck to him, truly deserves a chance. Well done Luton.
Feel this is a massive loss for us. Had a lot of faith in Nathan's work and considered him key factor in a lot of what had been good about this season.
Hope we don't suffer with his departure.

He wasn't allowed to bring in both Trollope and Calderwood otherwise he would have done. Very few managers have the clout that they can bring a massive entourage with them. Pail Trollope would work with Chris again in a heartbeat but he has young children in Nursery and school so that might be a factor on whether he would uproot his family again for what would essentially be a sideways step in terms of jobs from where he is now at Cardiff.

And anyhow we are talking about a position than might not even become availlable. Perhaps Nathan is happy at Brighton, although I have a feeling he wants to manage himself.

Get on the phone to Cardiff now Chris.
