I just listened to the whole 5 minutes interview. Much of what he says is reasonable. They were on top to a degree in the first half, hardly surprising with the leagu leaders against a hugely under strength Albion side. He doesn't really see much of the Lambert thing so is relatively non committal on that. I thought he was wrong about Harding, who was a little bit studs up against CMS (not to mention complete turd for the 35 or so minutes he lasted- was he subbed because of the yellow card or because he was the worst player on the pitch? Bit of both, methinks). I suspect the Lallana "goal" was over the line, but given the penalty they got against us at St Mary's, frankly I couldn't give a toss. And as for Lambert's penalty claim, well I refer you to my previous answer.

Adkins said: "The sending off of Lambert was a massive turning point in the game as we were in control of the match at that time. It changed the whole complexion of the game.

"I have looked at the video and although it's not a great view, the lad (El-Abd) stopped Rickie getting up. It's a poor video but Lambert hasn't lashed out. The referee had a better view and there's no doubt it was a defining point of the game."

Righto twatkins, time for a trip to specsavers :)

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
I was 20 yards away and it was almost identical to the Burnley player on Barnes. Sliding in, two footed, legs almost straight so defo a yellow and red (and busted ankle) if the player had not got out of the way.

Their left back, who is Dan Harding for the jcls, deserved the yellow and nearly got a second as he was reckless. It's a good job he was subbed or he would have been sent off.

Harding should have got straight red for lunging tackle on CMS but only got yellow - he definately then should have got a second yellow for either of the fouls he made on Buckley. He lost it and was substituted because West Stand gave him stick throughout - bottle job .:lolol:

What happened to Harding this evening was one of the sweeter aspects of the whole thing. I've even, if you'll indulge me, made a blog entry (Tell them all..., link below) specifically about him, because I thought he was shit for us, shit for Leeds, shit for Ipswich and he's shit now, but he seems to think he's God's gift to footballing full-backs. The only thing which would have made tonight any better would have been an OG from Hammond, since he saw fit to celebrate a goal in our faces at Withdean a few seasons back. Had to settle for him being so anonymous we almost forgot to boo him during the second half. I s'pose that'll do...
