Double standards criticising him, when they are paid a wage to ruin players careers. A absolute toxic club from to bottom it seems.
Players don't become crap over night.
I know of few of us have a moan about the Albion here or there, but boy are we lucky to have such a great set up.
Look at how Billy and Tarek have progressed with us.

Not sure its a brain problem, he's just not good enough to be a top Prem level player, and they've spaffed a ton of cash and a golden contract on him. Unfortunately, some daft European club will take him on loan and at least get his wages off the books, but they are stuck with his contract for 8 years as no one paying anything like what they did in transfer fee.

It was their typical thing of identifying a decent young player, realising there are other clubs interested and signing him merely to stop anyone else getting their hands on him, regardless of whether they actually have a need for that kind of player. They did the same with Romeo Lavia, who so far has spent almost the entire season injured. Because they are run by rich and stupid people, they can afford to take that chance and throw the money away if it doesn't work out.

Rival clubs can play Boehly/Winstanley like a fiddle. Half heartedly join bidding wars, then 'reluctantly' concede when Chelsea agree a much higher fee and wages than they'd originally envisaged.

Aaargh! Of course.
Try not to get them confused. Sam Jewell is a football recruitment specialist earning lots of money to try and help lift the £1.2 billion Chelsea squad to the heady heights of ninth in the Premier League. Paul Jewell is a former football manager who videoed himself enjoying sexy time with a lady while still wearing his t-shirt.

That image looks like a bad attempt at photoshop, probably of the TruePrint era.

well they took a punt didn't they? fast and scored a few in Ukraine, thought might be the new [winger of note]. was never quite sure why they made such a song an dance about him.
I thought he was mentioned as a possible singing for us? In which case, that was probably why loads-a-money came charging in.....Brighton are after him, better get in first and all that.
Should have come to us, maybe, anyway - might not have ruined him!

Pretty sure that was a case of people adding 2 + 2 because of De Zebra's Shakhtar connection and coming up with 6.

You have to fancy that RdZ would get more out of him than Chelsea's endless string of managers have though.

He was seemingly done and dusted to Arsenal. Chelsea overpaid to steal him, so that their direct rivals (titter) missed out, and so that their gormless, entitled fanbase could crow about their WIN online.

They were going to be COOKING once they signed him (and Fernandez. And Nkunku. And Caicedo. And Lavia. And Jackson. And Pochettino) as I believe the online CFC community like to call it.

Sadly for the plastics, nobody appears to have remembered to turn the oven on yet.

Perhaps that is Sam Jewell's job?

It's not completely implausible: this is Chelsea after all.

If the Albion told the media that the secret to success is paying somebody £500k per year solely to ensure that the spuds used to make the potato dauphinoise served up for lunch at the training ground are all sliced to an exact, specified thickness, Mr Toad would create such a position at Cobham and offer them a lucrative long term contract, potentially with the scope to expand to new, untried, overseas varieties of potato.

I think his head's been wrong at Chelsea. Hardly surprising.

Now, with a manager like RDZ.....
100% this. He looked like an absolute world beater at Shakhtar and loads of big clubs were circling for his signature (not just Chelsea). Obviously a good player in there, in a more stable environment of course...

I could do that job. I’d SMASH it!

Oh this is fantastic!!! This was the GAMBLE of the long contracts, they thought they'd found away around PSR, they had, then the EPL closed the loophole. They were either looking at 5+ years of success and advantage over the other 'big 5' or an absolute car crash, all based on whether these players worked out of not. They only need one or two more of these 8+ year players to go wrong and they'll be veering towards that central reservation at speed..... What makes this even better is that they need to sell HGPs in order to invest yet more £ and it's actually those HGPs that are holding their team together. FANTASTIC. I wish they'd put them on 12 year contracts.

As for signing Kane, as if.

I was just about to post something similar, it was pretty much Boehly’s first attempt at flexing his financial muscles. What a cock.
