I have put this up for Saint Lennard, 3gulls, Stinky Kat, Earnest, Mr Turd etc to outline their proposals for the takeover of the club.

They will obviously cover the main points such as who is appointed as chairman, where our stadium will be and where we will get the funding.

Sadly though I suspect this, like so many of my posts will sink down the board

Well, it's not going to be overloaded with a mind-blowing business plan and blue-print for the future is it...?

As I always say I think we need to stay in this league this season. I would try and borrow on the back of getting the ground or put the creditors off somehow until the falmer thing is sorted.

An exciting/winning team will draw crowds and get people scrambling about in the woods behind withdean to see Brighton.

OFF TO LUNCH NOW TO MULL OVER your challenge

So you think we should borrow more money based on futures, rather than pay off the debt we have ?

I think thats a perfect plan to get us to the semi finals of the champions league and i know just the chairman to take us there :dunce:

Oh i forgot ... Baaaaaa

Mr Partridge you're right.

Putting together a rescue package for a client who is in financial trouble at the moment as their premises is so expensive that although they have a contract coming in April that will earn them very good money, the cash-burn by that stage will have finished the company/

I will forward Stinky Kats suggestion to the board.

Dear sirs, to whom it may concern:

As I always say I think we need to stay in this league this season. I would try and borrow on the back of getting the ground or put the creditors off somehow until the falmer thing is sorted.

Marvellous, incisive astute financial advice based on rael-time facts and backed up with genuine logistical infrastructure.

Stinky Kat.......do you want a job??

Staying in this league is imperative, if the board balance the need to pay creditors and put out a side that will attract paying punters (I go to withdean and about 50% of aways in case you think I am not supporting the team) and be competeitive in the league we may survive.

I believe (its my personal opinion) that if the club is relegated income will drop due to people not re-newing season tickets (I buy 2 every season, 1 for me and 1 for my son - in case you again feel I do not support the team enough), less attractive teams coming to withdean and gates dropping below 6000 that the NIMBY lot will say the club do not need Falmer. That is why I think we need to get money for the team as well as off field activities.

DK I do not have any problem with, there is nobody better coming forward to lead the club, but I will disagree with him if I think he is making an error. As I have said before the club has a hardcore of 3000 odd who will go anywhere and support come what may. But you got to have a product people will pay top $ for if you want to make Falmer viable and after the intial excitement £22+ or whatever it will cost whenver we get a ground to see Albion V Doncaster or whevr aint gonna pay the bills.

Its a onesided arguement mate....Dicks boys arent listening

3000-4000 at the withdean next season will seroiusly affect cashflow ..but dont worry we'll all be saving for falmer then

I agree with what you are saying that it is important (not imperative) that we remain in this league.

However, I would not do that by getting loans against our future (ala Risdale) as you suggested on another thread, or by lessening the amount of money we are putting into Falmer (which IS critical).

So I am afraid that the money for the team comes a poor third after Falmer and not risking our financial future.

What, throw your lot into staying in this division versus our future existence? The club is not in a position to throw its resources at both.

On reflection I would try to keep what we have in order to fill Withdean, keep the NIMBYS from saying we dont need a ground and bring in a few loans and frees. 6000 v Rotherham was poor, it was vital we won and we should have got a sell out.

The fire need to be fought on all fronts and if the team is neglected support will fall.

You have to try to throw resources at both, manure, Chelsea and Arsenal shirts are not for the streets of sussex, we must offer the kids an attractive alternative.

Anyway I'll pin the target on me shirt so you can fire a few more pot shots at me this pm for daring to question BHAFC HQ
