So you think Poyet was blatantly lying to us a couple of days ago then?

Lying might be putting it a bit too strong. Gus no doubt wants him to stay and while Glenn is clearly committed to us now I think were Leeds or a decent club oop north to come in for him he would be off. I hope I'm wrong though.

The bottom line is that the club needed to turn around the angst many fans were feeling against him a few weeks ago to give him a chance to get back on form. It's called PR.

So you assume they are forcing him to stay here against his will?

He sure seems suddenly exceptionally happy for a prisoner... :dunce:

Well we've been doing it for the last 18 months, so I don't see why not! Murray's fault for signing his contract.

Then why did he not say the same at all regarding Bennett? :dunce:

Because Bennett is young and fast enough to attract a big money offer, and Poyet can probably see that he's far too good for this league.

Murray has been injury plagued for a while now, has been a whiny git, and has only had two good games this season - we're not going to be made a silly offer we can't refuse for him. That is unless you win the lottery and decide you want to add yourself to the list of people Murray's got pregnant, which seems quite likely....

Is it me or does he never seem to clarify he's 100% happy and not looking to move clubs? His commnts just never fill me with confidence he ACTUALLY wants to be here?!

It's not you, he never does say it. Murray has obviously realised no one will pay the money we're demanding for him unless he gets some games under his belt to prove his fitness and scores some goals. To do that he has to get back in the good books by working his bollocks off for a few weeks, and then hope for his move in January. Great striker but he obviously still wants out.

What more has he got to say? He is enjoying playing again, he has heard Poyet say that he will be going nowhere as he is a player for us to build our future on. He is not on the transfer list. Give him a chance and just relish his super skill and the goals that he scores for us.

He is the best striker that we have had for many years as good as or better than Zamora I wouldnt like to have to vote as I dont think there is much to chose between them.

Behave Murray is miles away from Zamora.

Murray has never played above the 3rd division. Zamora has played about 150 games in the premieship scoring 40 odd goals and played for England u 21's.

I am talking in relation to his use to us not other teams. I am sure that a fit Glenn Murray will score as many goals for us as BZ did. Hopefully we will not have to sell him off cheap as we had to with BZ because DK is no longer chairman.

Completely unrelated - just seen that Zamora has scored just 35 goals since he left us, having got 83 here.

Given 2 or 3 injury free seasons GM will exceed that number for us.

He won't be here much longer.

And I don't think he would even if he did stay. There's more play, but he's not the "sniffer" of goals like Zamora was - he is more the scorer of classy goals I think, but doubt he'd get more then 20 in a full fit season.

Still, a shame he won't commit to the club I think, as he's a class act.
