Very lazy analysis of us, given that they had only two matches so a bit of time to pick out some individual performers rather talk through the goals.

I didn't think the challenge on Solly was a foul, he took a bad touch and got brushed off the ball, but yes, a lot of other clubs would instruct their players to writhe on the ground until the goal was reviewed and possibly overturned. Man U would have almost certainly got it chalked off.

Yes, but those two matches were MANCHESTER UNITED VERSUS ARSENAL and Brighton & Hove Albion versus Leicester City

When March didn't complain I assumed there was nothing in it. Watching it back I'm thinking he should have complained. It looked like a foul.

Pretty much the same as the Welbeck one v United. And we all say they lack consistency...

:lolol:

As much as I enjoy hearing us praised, it would be nice at some point for them to dig a little further into why we're so good (clever recruitment, tactical flexibility etc) and what the season could potentially hold for us. I know it's just a highlights show but they're going to have to address it at some point the way we're going.

Murphy or Jenas are the most likely, not just because there (two of) the best analysts, but also because they played in midfield, and that's where the analysis needs to focus on with us. As much as I'm fond of Ian Wright, he doesn't seem to understand anything about us beyond bigging up (his mate?) Danny Welbeck.

Danny certainly helps with hold-up play, but Wright did seem to overdo the praise at the expense of a midfield probably more deserving of it.

Easy now. It's too early for confidence that we'll keep going as we have, forcing them to address our brilliance.

Not sure why anyone feels the the need to hear praise from pundits - we are doing great and anyone watching the game will know that and also who played well and who played not so well. We are getting some comments because they can't ignore us because of our position but the show (same as sky and BTsport) is all about the big clubs.

Personally i dont ‘’feel the need’’ as you put it….but regularly listen to the program i quoted as i like football..and found it novel that we were on first considering the events of the weekend…others might find it interesting hence sharing

It just makes a change to hear about the Albion for more than a nano second, as to the normal gushing that gets done on the usual suspects.
Credit where credits due IMO

Do you really only hear about Albion briefly or as an after thought. ? They’ve been a premier league club for 6 years now and the success of Potter / Albion in the last 6 months has meant A LOT of positive coverage . EVERYWHERE
Just last week - an hour of Barber on Talk Sport, a set piece interview with Welbeck (by Glenn Murray) on Football Focus, the live game on 5 Live and Sky Super Sunday, 15+ minutes on MOTD 2 (which praises Albion at length after most victories ), 5 live and across every newspaper (every week but especially after a win). See NotAndyNaylors round ups. And the 3 or 4 main podcasts talk Potter at length and so it goes on.
Of course Man Utd and Spurs and City are the big stories .- so what - but the idea that Brighton don’t get their fair share. C’mon.

Think it’s a subconscious need based on our “anti football brand a few years back” Tottenham away in Hughtons last season was particularly damning.

Saying that a spurs colleague said he doesn’t know how we watch that every week after we beat them away last season!

Wow, I feel like I've been told off by my elders ???
I do listen or read to whom you've mentioned above.
My point was really aimed at one track specialist pundits, who DO HAVE wet dreams over the bigger teams.
Have I wowed you with my use of block capitals.

Ha! YES. And I’m definitely old - perhaps not an elder.

Decent big up of the Albion.
Basically Graham Potter has the determination to get his teeth into a situation, where he can pick and choose who he squeezed out of the toothpaste tube :wozza:

I don't think everyone is needy but some do feel offended by us not getting as much attention as a top 6 team. Funnily enough from what I have listened to the radio shows can be a lot better than TV.
