For gods sake the man has gone why cant you ARS bandits just be grateful, a flawed poll stating worst manager ever which ignores every manager before Lloyd. Its also like saying "who is the worst PM" I'd wager Blair wins by the same margin as McGhee is here

Whats going to be next, the most unpopular goalkeeper ever, the most unpopular steward. All most of you ever do is bloody moan

However I wonder how many people who voted in this poll actually supported Brighton during his reign. When it comes to crap managers Jimmy Melia was dreadful too. The board should never have got rid of Mike Bailey but he wasn't popular. ...
Good point, see, we were a 'community club' even back then! The board listened to the fans and sacked the manager. I agree, Melia WAS dreadful. It still rankles with Mike Bailey, even years after, that it was seen as Melia who got us to the Cup Final and Bailey who got us relegated.

Conjecture time. Would we have reached the Cup Final under Bailey? Yes, and we'd have won it as Bailey wouldn't have hesitated and would have subbed the injured Ramsey.

Barry Lloyd was deeply unpopular for many years, but it seemed at the time like the club were never ever going to sack him (until the shit Bellotti turned up, ironically), so while we didn't really like him, we developed a sense of resignation to the fact that he was seemingly in a job for life. I can remember protesters shouting "Lloyd Out" outside the West Stand at the Goldstone after games.

Now, of course, the play off final v Notts County, and the calamitous events of the Archer regime, have made Lloyd's era look quite stable and upbeat, but nobody thought much of him at the time.

doesn't compensate for the fact that he was shit:)

If you are talking about Horton you are talking absolute crap because he was the man who started the change around for our fortunes when we were at Gillingham.

The worst by a country mile, but not sure that it was all his fault, was Jimmy Case, absolute rubbish.

Anyone who voted Mcghee is obviously a cretin! Case was hated pretty much throughout his spell and Lloyd was hated even longer than that. Reasonably balanced people only hated Mcghee for a few months
