Millwall have signed former Chelsea and Leeds midfielder Jody Morris on a two-year contract.

Dennis Wise has swooped for the 25-year-old, who was a free agent after ending last season on a short-term arrangement with Rotherham.

"I've got no qualms about playing in The Championship," Morris told BBC London. "I'm happy to be here and I just can't wait to get started.

Morris previously worked with Wise and coach Ray Wilkins at Stamford Bridge.

"It was quite soon after the season I found out they were interested," he said.

"Obviously I know Dennis and Ray from before - they are two people I look up to and have helped me in my career before so it was a good step for me to come and work with them again."

Morris:

Troublemaker.

Alleged rapist (cleared but should not have allowed himself to be get into that situation).

Attitude problems at previous clubs.

Fight at a nightclub etc.

Never fulfilled obvious potential.

Now a Rotherham reject.

Great profile for Milwall.

We need this sort of class of player in midfield... academic now, but would have been prepared to put up with his "slightly soiled" character...

Morris vs Oatway... hmmm... which one would you prefer?... for me, not the one who has an above average number of middle names...
