Have pompeys players suddenley turned in to non league players ?

Or are they struggling to get food to feed their families ?

NO.

They beat Spurs. Hardly Wimbledon beating Liverpool in 1988

Ref had a shocker in extra time, that's the last one of those games he'll have for a while. Very enjoyable half an hour, though.

I actually thought it was quite similar to Wimbledon in 88. For sure, Spurs are no Liverpool but Wimbledon were a lot stronger side in the league then than Pompey are now.

Totally over-the-top summing-up by the commentators though, you'd have throught it was Havant and Waterlooville in the final.

Some of the worst refereeing I've seen recently. Clearly wanted a Pompey win.

Palace are the only team I loathe more than Spurs and it's just fantastic that Spurs will finish this season with nothing, not even fourth place and they deserve nothing more - Defoe, Crouch and the rest - you could have Douglas Deep up front playing off of Uncle Spielberg and you'd be guaranteed more goals. Could this be the end of twitchy 'arry and most of his fickle squad?

Another gem to accompany their celebrations claimed that Pompey are "a football club fighting the world".

What an utter load of old shite.

The 85 staff they made redundant may be having a lean time.

That match embodied so much of why football is f***ed up:

1. Shocking officiating.
2. Shocking playing surface, one of the worst I've ever seen.
3. Shocking commentary and punditry.
3. A club getting to the final on the back of players who, because of lack of money, should not have been allowed to be signed in the first place.

Fair play to the Pompey fans, who were excellent. Spurs were very unlucky - it's not often a side has 31 shots on goal, 16 on target, and fails to score. Take away Dawson's slip on the turf, allow Spurs goal and don't give a penalty for Palacios's fair challenge and, hey, Spurs win 1-0. But that's football - one of the few sports where pure luck can still bring you victory.

Yeah, it's shocking that a team that tries to play decent football without a billionaire owner should ever be in fourth place or within a sniff of an FA Cup Final.

In order for football to continue to flourish the likes of Spurs, Villa, Everton need a break.

At least we weren't told that Dawson and Corluka had been penetrated twice in 30 minutes!

Was it Tyldesy or Drury this afternoon? I can't remember. Both talk absolute balls though, that think about it being 'more than a giant killing' was ridiculous!

I f***ing hate ITV sports coverage and I f***ing hate Portsmouth. All this "giant killing, fairy tale, against the odds" stuff is just plain bullshit. They've spent a fricking fortune on players and ridiculous wages they that couldn't afford and are now paying the price well boo-f***ing-hoo, I hope Chelsea shit all over them.

P.S. I also hate the way that you now can't go within a metre radius of the goalkeeper without being penalised.

I think you're missing my point. Villa and Everton can have all the breaks they like, in fact any Premier League club outside the 'big four' can if you like... just not THFC.
