Agreed. I think for the price, the experience they're getting at this stage of the season will prove invaluable. He's no Caicedo but he is a good signing.
Whilst I agree that Caicedo is a better player, I thought this was interesting from the same number of PL games:

Hugo old love we are all different, the Dunk incident whilst regrettable was slightly different.
i'll say its different, Caicedo was being directed by an agent here. lets focus on that and give him a large amount of leeway here, see how he responds on the pitch in blue and white for the rest of the season rather than aid the parasite in his ear.

It seems to me that they're providing much of the vitriol towards Naylor and Brighton fans. Especially the ones with the takes of Brighton being greedy and perpetuating the 3.5k a week myth.
If we are paying him 'only' £3.5K a week (which, by the way, I have on good authority is more than enough to feed a family of ten in Ecuador) I am sure he could increase his income 10 fold (or more) overnight if he wanted, just by signing a piece of paper for which I'm sure PB would be happy to lend him a pen! Then, between now and the summer those poor kids in Ecuador can have starters and puddings as well, and next season, if we are in Europe, at £40 or £50K a week he can trouser another £2 to £2.5M before switching to a 'big' club in 2024 to start his ten year £100K+ (£5M+ a year) career still at the tender age of 22.

Job's a good 'un - so how greedy/thick are his agents?

You mean their agents wouldn’t ..or would they ….yes an unwelcome distraction what with the media giving views…oh
Lamie old love what's your problem?

The editor asked me for 400 words, I did, its my opinion, I'm been writing my opinion about the Albion since August 1988, (did you ever buy Gulls Eye? if so thank you x) not everyone's going to agree with it, they certainly didn't with the fanzine, but that's democracy.

So it seems we're watching the global Arse fanbase snivelling into their cornflakes today, which is most satisfying. Personally, much as I want to believe the Not For Sale messages, I can't quite rest easy until I know that vile entity from Stamford Bridge aren't going to come along with a massive late bid. After the Cucurella saga, it's quite clear that when they're desperate enough, they will quite happily pay way over the odds for a player, therefore it would be no surprise come 5pm to see them making a last ditch £100m offer.

I'd actually accept £80m up front plus Colwill (for the team) and Gallagher (not because I think he'll suit us, he's not that good: I'd just have him for the bench purely to spite Palace). But it all has to be paid up front. We're not getting mugged off when it all comes crashing down around Chelsea in a couple of years time.

Think it’s getting to the point where anyone selling to Chelsea will want payment up front. Its only a matter of time before they crash and burn.

So he will be sacking the parasite then ? That’s his call after all. The agent doesn’t employ himself.

Re Caicedo coming back to work, I'm not really sure there'll be an issue.

He's 21, quite shy, and probably doesn't have a massive social circle in this country yet. He hangs around constantly with the other South American amigos, none of whom will bat an eyelid at this and all of whom will welcome him back warmly. Secondly, he was happy enough until he changed agents this week. It was never a case of wanting to leave the Albion, more one of wanting to accept a bigger offer, which is totally understandable (and his teammates will agree). The agents would have told him what was on offer, and that the only way he could get that move (and the money and a possible title medal) now was to rock the boat and put a statement out. "Play the X Factor card, Moises" they'd have said. "Mention your poor family in Ecuador, go for the sympathy vote, that'll do it". There's no way Caicedo came up with that statement himself, is there? It's been said this week that he'd been aware of Chelsea interest previously but shown no sign of dissatisfaction at the Albion, probably because Chelsea aren't going to win anything this season, whereas when Arsenal came in, suddenly there was a possible chance to win the Premier League at stake, hence his interest.

Footballers will be used to their teammates getting offers, and it's all quite normal for them. They'll take the piss out of each other and move on. Can't really see De Zerbi penalising him for it either, as he'll know he's a nice kid whose agents have just seen a potential pay day for themselves (and their "journalist" mates on the social media scene).

I’ll be welcoming him back on Saturday with open arms. It’ll be like the last couple of weeks never happened.

I’ll be singing louder than usual…

… he’s come from Ecuador, to win the Ballon d’Or.. his name is Moises Caceido…

😍
He's got a lot of work to do before I'd entertain his song again, which is a shame because it's a good'un. I know a lot of fans of the same opinion.

He needs to prove himself again now (providing we don't take silly money at the 11th hour).

I’d almost rather he joined Chelsea just to piss on Arsenal’s insufferable fan base, with their sense of entitlement and utterly dismissive attitude to clubs like us. (Appreciating that CFC’s fans are equally pathetic)

Not for me, Clive. I would prefer we refused point blank to deal with that club ever again.

I see Mudryk has been called out for using the N word in a video he released a while ago. Chelsea's Mudryk. Of course it is.

we can hope, but im resigned to reality this is unlikely - he'll be able to talk him around, Caicedo probably isnt fully aware of the impact his instagram had. sensible people know its not from him (misspelling home town ffs), not everyone will. best/likely solution is the agent pushes for a new contract (so gets himself some fee), then we see a fat fee in the summer (and the agent gets another!).
