Could we look to bring in some of those Japanese station staff with the gloves who push people onto trains?I think half of the population of Tokyo come to the Amex to see him play.
Went to Japan last year. The younger people out there take having a hobby to a whole new level. It seems they've all got an obsession with something. Video gaming, manga magazines, dancing, anime films, pokemon, are all absolutely huge out there. Its like a religion to them. There's whole areas of Tokyo, streets and streets, filled with manga magazine shops for example. Or enormous buildings full of kids playing video games. They take having a hobby very seriously. & sports will be similar for them. Once they pick a team they're all in. I went to see Kyoto Sanga FC, every person there was wearing the official shirt, and they do the ultras thing with flags & singing to the level seen in big Serie A matches. For the Japanese people you've seen Brighton/Mitoma/Prem football is their hobby/obsession.I’ve had a few call outs to a foreign student accommodation block over the last couple of years.
The Japanese students are not short of a Yen or two. I was there a couple of time as they were coming back from games.
I think their purchase from the merch shop could fund BHAFC for a decade.
Honestly, you wouldn’t think they come from a football match but some kind of trolley dash.
Bags and bags of gear. All wearing scarves, hats, jackets, shirts, etc
It was interesting on a few levels.
I never buy things at matches, gigs, day out really. For me, it’s enough support that I’m there amongst like minded people supporting the same team / band / show.
We know you like them, you’re here! You don’t need to get all the tat, all destined for the loft and then landfill. Or “anyone want 300 programs from Withdean era ”? threads.
Or maybe I’m just a miserable git who’s quite happy with a chicken pie and a polystyrene cuo of tea.
Some days I don’t agree with me either.
They'd get confused when the train turned up 15 minutes late.Could we look to bring in some of those Japanese station staff with the gloves who push people onto trains?

I assume he's wearing a disguise.
Good thinking, it would halve the queuing time at Falmer Station post games.Could we look to bring in some of those Japanese station staff with the gloves who push people onto trains?
But Mitoma is not in the squad.Japan are kicking off shortly for a World Cup qualifier in Australia.
It's a crucial game for the Aussies who are battling Saudi Arabia for the 2nd qualifying spot with two games left.

Well spotted SS! I did a brief search for the line-ups without any luck. Next time I'll try and spend more than 15 seconds on it.But Mitoma is not in the squad.
Twas first flagged in the dedicated June international break thread: https://www.northstandchat.com/threads/june-international-break.413582Well spotted SS! I did a brief search for the line-ups without any luck. Next time I'll try and spend more than 15 seconds on it.
Anyway, I hope the Aussies get a favourable result to keep the Saudi's out of it.
Go, it is amazing.Fascinating really.
I’d like to go to Tokyo. Looks like a trip!
Japan is top of my dream destinations list – one day. Loved NZ when we went, but that was more than 20 years ago. I would also love to return there.Go, it is amazing.
It is in my top three destinations after New Zealand and the desert areas of America like Arizonas Sonoran & mojave deserts
Thats just the five year old kid in me, who is still in love with Apache's.
Japan is just a different world as Brighton Tom said.
Dire game so far, 0-0 an hour in.Japan are kicking off shortly for a World Cup qualifier in Australia.
