I apologise if I am wrong but I haven't seen any media mention of Brighton now having 3 players scoring at least 10 goals in a Premier League season. Mitoma's superb strike against Liverpool meant he joined J.Pedro & Welbeck on 10 goals. When Brentford achieved this last month there was a lot of coverage and comparison against mega goalscoring European clubs etc.

I assume we have never achieved this feat before ? Well done BHA :albion:

I’ve had a few call outs to a foreign student accommodation block over the last couple of years.

The Japanese students are not short of a Yen or two. I was there a couple of time as they were coming back from games.

I think their purchase from the merch shop could fund BHAFC for a decade.

Honestly, you wouldn’t think they come from a football match but some kind of trolley dash.

Bags and bags of gear. All wearing scarves, hats, jackets, shirts, etc

It was interesting on a few levels.

I never buy things at matches, gigs, day out really. For me, it’s enough support that I’m there amongst like minded people supporting the same team / band / show.

We know you like them, you’re here! You don’t need to get all the tat, all destined for the loft and then landfill. Or “anyone want 300 programs from Withdean era ”? threads.

Or maybe I’m just a miserable git who’s quite happy with a chicken pie and a polystyrene cuo of tea.

Some days I don’t agree with me either.

I think half of the population of Tokyo come to the Amex to see him play.
Could we look to bring in some of those Japanese station staff with the gloves who push people onto trains?

Went to Japan last year. The younger people out there take having a hobby to a whole new level. It seems they've all got an obsession with something. Video gaming, manga magazines, dancing, anime films, pokemon, are all absolutely huge out there. Its like a religion to them. There's whole areas of Tokyo, streets and streets, filled with manga magazine shops for example. Or enormous buildings full of kids playing video games. They take having a hobby very seriously. & sports will be similar for them. Once they pick a team they're all in. I went to see Kyoto Sanga FC, every person there was wearing the official shirt, and they do the ultras thing with flags & singing to the level seen in big Serie A matches. For the Japanese people you've seen Brighton/Mitoma/Prem football is their hobby/obsession.

Fascinating really.

I’d like to go to Tokyo. Looks like a trip!
