Missing Match Day

Blimey, safe trip home.

We had 2 medical emergencies in one day yesterday. Had to divert to Messina Sicily to disembark them. Now missing our scheduled call to Mykonos today. Over 2,000 unhappy guests.

Do they know it's because of medical emergencies?

We took off from gatwick to Tenerife at 2 yesterday. Could not believe the score when I switched the phone on as we landed. Delighted for the two friends who used my seats but a little gutted not to have been there. Sitting by a pool in the sunshine right now is easing the disapppontment though!

Oh yes!

On my last contract we were asked to assist the Italian Coastguard with the rescue of 300+ migrants from a trawler that had been at sea for 3 weeks & drifting for the last 10 days with no power.
We stood by & eventually were asked to take on board a 9 months pregnant Somalian woman (we have a Medical Centre with 2 doctors & 4 nurses), who we then evacuated by Helo.
The operation lasted several hours & we missed our next port.
Even though the Captain gave updates all day, the amount of complaints asking for a refund was astonishing.
