It's funny that they seem to think they're the normal ones!! We've got it all wrong apparently......

Viewing a forum - North Stand Banter

Check out this prize prick;

I've got no time for real racism or homophobia, but the thing that this middle-class pricks don't realize is that Millwall fans are the kind of people that wade in to help people (black, brown gay) in trouble. Brighton fans are the sort of people who stand around looking scared and phone the police.

Good God no. They didn't throw rocks and bottles and the players, they didn't go on the pitch, they didn't set fire to the stand. They were just the usual, gobby, scummy typical classless Millwall.

It's pretty rare in English football to ban away fans from a game, it only happens when there is serious, serious trouble. Millwall do what they did yesterday everywhere they go. Maybe make it more difficult for them to get tickets and only sell to STH and restrict their allocation, but to ban them completely from the fixture would be massively over the top.

Brighton fans are no angels, I'm not suggesting we are anything like as bad as Millwall, but how would we feel if we were banned from the away fixture at Selhurst beacuse a few idiots caused a bit of trouble?

No, I wouldn't ban them, but I would slap in a big bill to Millwall for damage(s). Next time they show up, they do so with great big burly stewards chuffin' everywhere, and Millwall can foot the bill for that.

Definitely not. Unfair on the fans who behave themselves.

Imagine how we would react if we were banned from the New Den because a minority of fans ran amok or we got banned from Selhurst because Brighton fans ripped up and stole seats / chucked things at players etc.

Ah, just read the full thread and you said exactly the same thing as me. Everyone feel free to ignore my post. (Yes I know they usually do etc etc)

No. It would encourage away supporters to find their way into the home end.

I'd just halve their allocation to be honest.

I'm with you on this, Sim. It's clear something needs to be done in order to control the scum elements more effectively, but a so-called complete ban would probably just make the situation a whole lot worse.

What do you think the club made on ticket sales, Food, drink and programmes last night for the away support. How does the economic argument add up if for example we paid to have it as a bubble game and away support could only travel in and out on official transport/police escort.

Not even bright enough to identify who to attack. Must be hard for them when both clubs are in blue.

"just reading on hof our own lot jumped 3 innocent millwall, regardless of wether they were brighton or not as wippa said in the other thread, were starting to get some idiots with us, attacking normal supporters.

I couldn't make the game last night and it sounds like I was lucky that I didn't. Two of my mates and his dad who i've been going Millwall with for 20 odd years got jumped before the game by Millwall after coming out of the pub. He told me that as they joined the rest of the Millwall fans walking to the ground someone shouted out ICF and pointed at the three of them. The three of them took a really bad kicking and he was knocked out. It was only thanks to the other Millwall fans that were in the pub that stopped it getting worse. All three have now said that was the last away game that they are going. Why would the ICF be going Brighton v Millwall on a tuesday night when they are also playing at home?"

I might have missed something but I thought that there was a less hostile atmosphere last night than against Palarse and the so- called Irons (who have better PR than Millwall).

I think a stand has to be made somewhere, if not banning them for a season, then perhaps close the bar and food outlets in the away end. But the problem with that is the decent Millwall/Leeds/Palace fans suffer. I don't know what the answer is.

I wouldn't ban them. I'd just not hold the game in midweek. Like the Palace game, seems to result in more trouble around the station because the crowds are more concentrated and right in each others faces all jostling for the limited trains available.

No, atmosphere was dead enough with two sets of fans, it would have been far worse with just one.

I am with you on this. Moving a high risk game to midweek seems to cause as many problems as it causes.

To answer the original question, don't ban them but don't serve alcohol in their stand. Petty but it would give them a couple of hours to sober up.

Greatly reduced allocation based on achieving an IQ score above 50. No concourse service or facilities. Latrine pit outside for use before and after game. Izal toilet paper.

I think that Izal toilet paper has been banned under the Geneva Convention .

I voted Yes - if it was at all possible let their players play in a ground full of home fans and let the Millwall 'fans' watch it via beamback at the Den where they can all stay to shout abuse at a screen and vandalize their own gaff ...

Sounds like it should be easy for you to report the specific seat(s) of the racists to the club. Do it please.
