Met any footballers before?

Just want to know!

I've met Bobby Zamora who is a pompus git.

I've met Sol Cambell who can't speak.

I've met Teddy Sheringham who's very nice and very tasty.

I've seen (not met) Kerry Mayo who's mates with my next door neighbour.

I've seen (not met) John Robinson who's mates with my other neighbour.

I saw Gary Hart in the club shop when I was in Europe in May.

I've met a couple of Perth Glory players over here.

Met a fair few of the Albion lads, Dodge and Morgs are both good chaps as is OGH. Bob Bookers is also a good bloke even if he does hang around with Matt Hicks the bug eyed gimp.

Oh yeah and I went round Bobby's place to see if he had any spare tickets for the Swindon game a couple of years back. Came away empty handed as he claimed they were like gold dust.

Quite a few actually... Mainly Brighton but some others aswell Including Gareth Barry, Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole but the best of which has to be the late Jeff Astle.

At work - probably
I've met;

Bobby Zamora, Paul Brooker, Paul Watson and Steve Melton at the Orange square in H.Heath.
I've met Gerry Ryan several times at the Witch
I've met Jimmy Hill (well he was a footballer years ago!)
I've met Gary Hart at a party (Nice bloke - really modest)
Eric Steele - came to our school to train us in the late 70's/early 80's
Graham Moseley at a golf day
Aiden Newhouse - I said 'up the Albion' to him - and he just sneered!!!
Oh and I saw most of the Albion players walking along the overpass (A2300 and A23 junction) near Hicksted presumably going for a Chinese at the old Castle Pub after a training session

The most famous footballer I've met is former Eire manager and World Cup Winner Jack Charlton. I was drunk and coked up to my eyeballs on the way to Scunthorpe in the FA Cup. My mate said "look it's Bobby Charlton" to which Jack replied "f*** off I've got more hair" A brilliant man :lolol:

In '91 I went with my 16yr old girlfriend to watch Mike Fillery's testimonial at Crawley (her grandad played for them or something) we went into teh players bar afterwards. As a 16 yr old spotty oik, I had to watch as Johnny Byrne came over & chatted up my bird, gave her his phone number & said he can get her tickets to the Millwall playoff semi! I was playing football that day but she still went & met him!!!.......we weren't together very long.

Top bloke. When I was a Birmingham City supporter (don't ask!), I once travelled all the way back home from Brighton to queue for hours at Villa Park for a ticket for the Birmingham City v West Bromwich Albion FA Cup semifinal - only for them to run out of tickets when I was about 20 people short of the ticket office desk.

Trudging back home, miserably, I get there to discover that Jeff Astle has been in the pub with my dad and has given him a ticket for the match.

Met the team in the players bar after a game against Cardiff a couple of years ago. Got entrance from Kuipers, absolute star got me a free ticket sitting with the players wives.

Worked in a pub in Storrington after leaving school, regularly made lunch for Malcolm MacDonald who was then living in the village, didn't say much more to him than "here is your lunch", but thought he was a bit of a knob anyway.

Met Alun Armstrong and Kevin Francis when they were playing for Stockport, the latter was OK, the former was still a kid and didn't have much to say for himself.

Not met any Albion players but Eric Steele did come to our school just after we had won promotion to the First Division and I asked him a question during assembly.
