Reports that Bayern may offer between €40m and €45m for Mitoma having sent scouts to Brighton to watch him several times already. https://www.getfootballnewsgermany.com/2025/bayern-munich-take-interest-in-brightons-kaoru-mitoma/
SSN Germany corroborating this:
For a transfer fee perspective it makes a big difference. What we can get at two years is so, so much higher than at one year. It depends on whether we'd write off 50% of a fee for an extra year.Only 2?
Hardly coming to the end is it?
I'd be interested to hear from @El Presidente if an estimate of financial value can be put on having Mitoma at the Albion. For a transfer fee perspective it makes a big difference. Anyway, best option is that we get a contract in front of him sharpish for another 2-3 years
Good question - I've never seen a reported fee.How much was he bought for?
See post #1,024Not sure if it's been mentioned anywhere else (apologies if it has) but guess which of Karou's goals won the Athletic's Goal of the Season??
He can have a crack @ the CL with us… when he’s 29I'd be interested to hear from @El Presidente if an estimate of financial value can be put on having Mitoma at the Albion.
Yes, we've all seen the Japanese tourist fans with their bags of merch at the Amex, but that will be pretty small beer to a club turning over £220m.
If we do extend Mitoma's deal, should he be happy and willing to do that, his transfer value will start to go south, given that he will be 29 at the end of next season.
I'm wondering if cashing in this summer would be seen as an attractive option, as well as doing the decent thing by Mitoma and giving him a crack at the Champions League.

I don’t follow‘Brighton Bubble’ and ‘The Brighton Place’, on X, but they keep appearing on my account. I’m completely fed up all the Mitoma and Pedro gossip they peddle. Surely it’s not helpful with BHA trying to hang onto the players.

Makes no f***ing difference. They’re just trying to build audience and earn money.I don’t follow‘Brighton Bubble’ and ‘The Brighton Place’, on X, but they keep appearing on my account. I would disagree with that - can't speak about 'The Brighton Place' as I know nothing about that account but the Brighton Bubble account absolutely offers something to Albion fans (who are interested in gossip/rumour/reports about Albion). They wouldn't have 32,500 followers if they didn't.Farming for engagement, hoping you'll react and interact. Usually best to block/mute those kinds of accounts as they offer nothing.

I honestly can't see why people have anything against such an account - it's not as they they are making stuff up themselves, merely reporting stuff that gets reported elsewhere.
(Just to be clear, I have no particular interest in the Brighton Bubble account, and don't even follow it myself, but they absolutely provide a service to literally thousands of other Albion fans).
Maybe but I believe pretty well everything on The Brighton Bubble has at least been mooted on here already?I would disagree with that - can't speak about 'The Brighton Place' as I know nothing about that account but the Brighton Bubble account absolutely offers something to Albion fans (who are interested in gossip/rumour/reports about Albion).
