He's only got 2 years left on his deal. I suspect that €45m is too low, but unless we have a new deal on the table I wouldn't rule anything out
I agree. And he has done his time with us, if he did decide to move on. It isn’t a Caicedo situation where we’d hold out for a ridiculous fee. If he does go I suspect it will be for a lower fee than people think, cue absolute meltdown on NSC.

Only 2?

Hardly coming to the end is it?

If he leaves then more clubs than just Bayern are going to be involved so 45 does seem low.

28 though.
28 is considered to be the prime age, he also started late.

The price quoted is laughable but this does feel like something which could pan out as the summer goes on. Wouldn’t be surprised if Sunday is his last game for us. Will mean some serious work is needed if we sell both Mitoma and Pedro, they’re our difference makers

Thought he seemed a lot more animated and emotional than usual on Monday... Really hope he stays but would never begrudge him a move to a massive club that can offer CL football. Would take a bit of the sting out if it's not another English club.
I had thought that. When he scored he went to run back to the halfway line for kick off and then turned around and ran back to celebrate in front of the North Stand. Thought it maybe seemed like a goodbye

I will be the most gutted about a player leaving than I've ever been as an adult ... However this is the best outcome, I would literally hate to see him in another EPL team.
The ‘best outcome’ is if he doesn’t leave - and certainly not for €45 m euros, he’s worth a easily twice that.

Bayern just testing the water.

The profile he gives the club in Japan certainly adds value to us, and can not dismissed.

I'll also add his recurring back issues may stop him passing medicals.

He's not going for €45m, although a bid at that price may start a bidding war, at which point the price could be anything north of €60m, I reckon.

1. Kaoru
2. Carlos
3. JP

These are the three most valuable to us next season I think. I’d rather Kaoru stayed for his whole career but another couple of years might be the compromise. Carlos is simply immense and our Dutch centre-back is the next captain if he stays. Ideally they all sign new contracts with us next week😊

45m Euros seems far too cheap. I'd rather we kept him for another 12 months and got a reduced fee or let him go for free in two years.

We paid 2.5m for him, I'd be happy to 'lose' that 2.5m for the five years of magic we would have got out of him.

Not sure if that kind of economic thinking works or is what the club would adhere too. I'm also inclined to let him go if he really wanted too, in which case maybe strike a deal to let him go for a much reduced fee next year as a compromise.

Ideally, new contract, name the north stand after him and build him a statue. f*** it Tony, give him one of your best horses too.
