one last thing, whats the dress code for these places? shoes and shirts?

never been before you see :)

It's a while since I've been. There it is. I admit it. I have been to them. As with most pubs in central Edinburgh if loads of pissed blokes turn up at a pub with bouncers, then they will be looking for any reason to knock you back, so I would go with that to be on the safe side. By the way, if you fancy taking in a game on the Saturday, why not go along to Tynecastle to see the Mighty Jam Tarts in action against the Plastic Whistle. You won't get too many more opportunities to go to Tynecastle as thanks to our Chief Executive who is another Bill Archer in the making it looks like the Jambos will be playing at Murrayfield next year. I'm biased but I think it's a great old stadium.

we we're gonna take in a Hibs match but they are away and Hearts too. But theres too much :drink: to be drunk!

Theres currently 18 of us descending on you, the hotel we are with has a guide that takes you to pubs and stuff, might be handy as no doubt some pubs will turn us away without a second glance.

Thanks again for the info

did you get my email?

Whoops - I've got it now that I've got round to checking my non-work email. I've just emailed you back.

I'll let you get back to your specialised subject now, I'm off to the pub. And not one of the ones in the Pubic Triangle either.

On the original point - it has been mentioned by the BHAlbas, but nothing definite planned as of yet. I'll post on here for the visitors coming north of the border as and when we have decided where we are going.
