Me too. I had a lovely bacon and mushroom sarnie for lunch today followed by a mandarin.

I always have my 5 portions of fruit and veg too.

I don't know how people can eat the correct amount of fruit and veg on a daily basis. If I ate that much I wouldn't be able to manage anything else.

We had our dietician round this morning and she was most insistent we should be eating that much. There are a lot of foods banned in this household now.

I only need a bit of broccoli or sweetcorn with potatoes with my evening meal and thats 5 portions. I very often have 3 veg with evening meal as I love petit pois as well.

A portion size depending on the particular fruit or vegetable, but they are not generally big. The following are all considered to be a portion...


One 100g slice Melon, Pineapple
100g after peeling Orange, Apple, Banana
2 fruits/ 100g 2 satsumas, 2 plums
100g or 1 cup raspberries, cherries, red currants, Strawberries
90g Stewed apples or plums
Fruit/Vegetable Juice 100ml Orange, Apple, Carrot
90g cooked weight cabbage, broccoli, sprouts
80g cooked weight suede, potato
70g cooked weight Peas, Sweetcorn
100g cooked weight Onions, peppers, aubergine, tomato
80g cooked weight Baked Beans, Kidney Beans
Large Bowl Full Lettuce, cucumber

Very true.

I am a meat eater, however I'm very fussy over what I eat meatwise.

For example, I make my own burgers.

McDonalds for me would mean a chicken burger, but quite frankly I'd rather find somewhere else to eat or go hungry.

It's now about 30%. That strikes me as quite a high percentage and I suspect that it's not a true reflection of the number of veggies among Albion fans. But it is an indication that there are a fair few of us and highlights how inadequate the catering is at most football matches.

I am a lacto vegan I think.

Although I now eat meat I would never eat at McDonalds or any fast food places.
We buy all free range organic meat as well.
