Don't think we had the concrete options last season and even terrific players need some rotation.

Pedro, Adingra, and a more experienced Enciso (his performance against Wolves there!) can all play there now.

What a season we could have if even Mitoma is looking over his shoulder. (And not just at the defender falling on his arse)
Yes, and Mitoma could float inside more or rotate to the right wing. IIRC he headed the assist to Welbeck yesterday??
I think our attacking guys can be more fluid in their positions ... if the boss is happy with that, no? 👍

Yep definitely headed back from the right side of the box.

Takes a particular sort of dunce to earn 2 yellow cards in the same phase of play in a pre-season friendly. I know there's not much point to these games other than getting match fit, but it's hard to get any benefit at all if you get sent off.

Other than that, concur with all the above posters praising the quality and depth of that squad - looking good.
Particularly as he was no doubt due to be subbed off 5 minutes later anyway in the 66th minute batch of subs.

We know there was no VAR last night and boy what a joy it was, so in the spirit of what it'll be like in a couple months, could we have a mini binfest over our first goal please? Would Welbeck be offside? Or rather would he be VAR'd as offside?

Don’t know but Jackson would have been for his goal wouldn’t he?

So much better without VAR and not having that awful wait for decisions to be confirmed.
