No doubt Wigan be poo poo on here but I think Gus would take it. Loyal chairman so gets time. Anything more than survival is success. Decent stadium etc and inherits a team with a similar playing style to his.

But what does he realistically gain? Martinez is a superb manager, he did what Gus has done arguably more at Swansea and couldn't take Wigan any higher than last day relegation battles every year. Dave Whelan is a smart chairman, he knows the clubs limits, and thus they don't splash out on wages or transfers, the club is therefore at it's limit with all the other clubs on it's doorstep. They average the same crowds as us, if not lower in the Premiership, only away fans bring the numbers up and that's nothing to do with it being full every week.
Wigan will not interest Gus. West Brom or Villa would.
