Manchester City midfielder Rodri returns after being banned for their past three domestic matches.

Fit-again defender John Stones played an hour for England against Italy on Tuesday and will hope to start his first league game of the season.

Brighton's James Milner is fit to face his former club after a month out with a muscle issue.

Karou Mitoma is expected to play despite withdrawing from international duty with Japan through illness.

Julio Enciso, Pervis Estupinan, Tariq Lamptey and Jakub Moder remain unavailable, although the latter has resumed training after 18 months on the sidelines because of knee problems.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

  • Brighton have never won a league game away to Manchester City (D2, L11) and have lost on their last nine visits by an aggregate score of 24-3.
  • City have won 10 of the 12 Premier League meetings, only dropping points in away matches in 2021 and 2023 which came after they had secured the league title.

  • Phil Foden has scored in all five of his Premier League starts against Brighton, netting six goals in total.

Albion
  • The Seagulls have both scored and conceded in each of their past 12 top-flight matches and have netted in a club record 17 consecutive away league games.

They always appear at 3am on the dot. I wondered if there is a timer thingy that puts them out the same each week.
I was wondering the same thing, and then @Dick Head replied which probably means he is exceptionally dedicated to this.
I'm always impressed with the formatting of the post.

I really cba with all that, let alone the 3am thingy.
Impressive.

Thanks @Dick Head your work is much appreciated.
Even though we're loose.
