Think it was 1980....the bit I remember was a ManU fan attacking a policeman on his horse, in Hove Park. He was trying to pull the policeman off while kicking the horse and the copper was retaliating by whacking him with his truncheon. Was a load of them charging around like looneys.

I remember seeing that incident too.

There were also some man u plastics in the upper tier that day although in far smaller numbers. Quite a few were attacked nearby to where i was. It was interesting to me that around six man u in front of me very quickly changed their cries from 'utd'to 'seagulls' once they'd seen the bother.

here's another one, North stand when it had no roof, young WSF attack Utd at the front of the terrace backing them off , probably the first time WSF had got it together in the ground

recall utd fans getting dragged out of the lower terrace onto the concourse for a kicking,also alot of utd came under attack in the coach park,this was a very dark day for brighton with fans letting the club down with their thuggish behaviour
