Adams looking for additions Tue 19 Aug 2008

Brighton boss Micky Adams has revealed he wants to add a creative edge to his side before the transfer window closes.

The Seagulls are without Kevin McLeod who is injured and Adams is hoping to bring in fresh faces.

Darren Currie has already rejected a move to the Withdean in favour of Chesterfield and Adams revealed he will be working hard to find the right man.

He told The Argus: "We are on the lookout for a type of player. Let's just say we are looking for a bit of creativity. That could land in our lap or we could have to go and find somebody.

"As yet it hasn't landed in our lap and we haven't found one so that is an ongoing situation."

So McLeod injury could be worse than we (I) thought and MA is defo looking for a winger. Good news in my view having watched our inability to cross a ball from wide on Saturday.

Shame he's not looking for a whinger, he'd get world class quality off here.

Excuse me, but WTF is Mick on about? "It could land in our lap or we could go and find somebody"
Shouldn't we have a list of targets/possibles to go to, rather waiting for Arsenal/Chelsea to ring up and offer us somebody on loan and how long do we wait for someone to land in our lap before we have to go and look for someone?:nono:

I think he means land in our lap in the way that trialists/agents drop us a line and set up a trial. I don't think he is saying that we are not trying hard to find someone and we are not just waiting for someone to materialise, plus we haven't found the right player that is readily available.

Doesn't come out that clear though

Did you exchange insurance details ? :)

He did not stop in time for me to collar him. He looks younger and slimmer than he used to. I always got the feeling he was a bit of an old man when he was our manager, but I guess I was only 12/13 when he got his marching orders, so they all seemed quite old.

any suggestions on who it could be??? because i don't have a clue, it's a bit late to start looking and i think are only option is to look at the lower leagues or released players, they would be the only ones willing to leave their club for the Withdean, me thinks:thumbsup:
