I guess it's the way of football that fans demand undying loyalty from the players but show little or any in return.

Yes Kaz hasn't been the player he was at the beginning of the season since his return from injury but surely he's done enough during his time with us to have earned the chance of showing he can return to that level.

The problem is that his form at the beginning if the season was exceptional. It's what we had been waiting all these years for but he's been here 6 years now and the return over the whole six years isn't justifying his retention. We have Murphy, Knockhaert, Skalak and March, all, in my opinion, more effective.

He's not got back into his stride since injury and on that basis it's been hard to see sometimes why he's been preferred to Murphy. But at his best, for sheer power, speed and the ability to drill in goals from distance, he offers something different to the type of winger that needs to be brought into the match by others. He can seize control of it himself.

Because of that, we expect him to change the game every time - and that can't be easy when you're trying to get your confidence back after a long lay-off in highly-pressurised contests.
