With the number of armchair Liverpool fans around the country who will want to watch the game and celebrations it quite possibly will be one of the fixtures that will get the highest viewing figures.

Not worth a thread of it’s own, the Palace Cup Victory Bus route

This did make me smile

In our seriousness, it does look like the finishing point of the parade will be held in a Stadium which is a considerable upgrade to Selhurst park

Also, nice to spot that Crystal Palace were formed in 1905 (not sometime in the 17th century as I think their fans like to think).

Albeit, as we know, the current CPFC dates from 2010….

Apparently, from another broadcasting forum the reasons are as follows -
1. Due to their current broadcasting contracts for this season, Sky only had two game picks left and TNT had one game pick left, so only three games can be shown this Sunday contractually.
2. If Sky hadn't picked the Liverpool game they risked TNT picking it. If that happened at meant that while Sky could show coverage of the on-pitch trophy presentation but wouldn't be the "host broadcaster" so wouldn't have live access to pictures from other parts of the stadium such as the tunnel area or dressing room.
Sky had first pick which was Forest v Chelsea
TNT had second pick which was Man Utd v Villa

Sky could have chose any of the other 8 games - most are very surprised that Newcastle v Everton hadn’t been selected

Indeed, who would pass up the chance to broadcast the historic final visit to St James Park by the team from GOODISON PARK

Because Newcastle can get Champions League, it is the 3rd most high profile game of the weekend.
