There are a handful of regulars who push the boundaries of what is acceptable, but it reaches a whole new level when the team gets a 'big day out'. Everyone comes out of the woodwork; it's probably expecting a bit much for for a disparate group of regular supporters to control the idiots amongst them who have nothing to lose by acting up. It's not like they'd care if they were banned from home games, for example. I know it's on a completely different scale, but some of the behaviour I've seen from England fans whilst travelling the world watching the national team is, at best, embarrassing. But I'm not about to risk life and limb by challenging them. At the risk of hiding behind a cliche, it's a societal problem.
It's incredibly sad that a local team has to tolerate such no-marks, and I truly hope it can be stamped out asap, especially having read the OP.
Bunch of utter spanners.

Their fans are scum. Came to the Welly before BHA were playing earlier this season (or late last) it was sunny and warm I know that, anyway, they came in, looked like a bunch of absolute worms, got smashed, sang really nasty chants which even I thought were bad, and then finally f***ed off. OB were waiting for them down the road. AWFUL.

Baring in mind I know some of the tougher Brighton element, they made them look like pretty normal chaps.

Saw their “ultras” on the way home from a Brighton game a few years ago, giving it the wide open arms “come on” to Brighton fans from behind a train window.

Was enough for me to start a thread as it reminded me me how many Littlehampton/ Wick used to follow the Albion from the North stand and away back in the day.

Suspect we’re probably better off without this lot though.

I’m Littlehampton born and bred, and went back for the first time in ages on Saturday. Jesus, the town centre is terrible, overrun with angry shirtless and toothless morons - and that’s just the women! But continue onto the seafront, and it’s lovely, especially towards the Rustington end. Genuinely sad to read the OP, best to try and remember that there are many more decent folk out there, than pricks like these.

Been in touch with Paul Barber and Sodexo and they're looking into it. So I'll leave it at that now. Thanks for all comments and concern.
I think to describe the ones I saw in some of the corporate areas last night as mutants would be kind, a large group made absolute fools of themselves last night fighting with each other and stewards for most of the first half. Not the first time some of their fans have behaved like absolute animals.

Did they get thrown out of The Amex last night, especially if they were fighting?

Am I correct in thinking they played Whitehawk earlier this season or late last season and their "yoof" rocked up walking down the road thinking they were extras in Green Street (a few toothless 40+ in their ranks) and set off flares in the ground nearly setting fire to what remains of that roof in the south stand ? I did notice that day, the crowd grew in the second half as word got out that Littlehampton were down for trouble and a few extra locals from Whitehawk rocked up as did the old bill.

Sounds about right, they had quite a few problems last season with a few clubs, I thought they had calmed down a bit, but clearly they were back for the big night out. There was a few last night who were just there to cause problems, one particular individual in a baby blue jumper who looked like matey from Bad Manners, seemed intent on being a nuisance to every member of the stewarding team possible. Very sad to hear about the sexist abuse directed at @GJN1 's daughter, but doesn't surprise me, especially with the amount of Wallop it looked like these idiots were on.

My daughter was working in the kiosk tonight and had to leave early because of the disgusting sexist abuse she was getting from a gang of Littlehampton pricks. Picked her up in tears. Her friend had to have her break in a toilet because it wasn't safe. So angry. And yet her Sodexo supervisor didn't want to know.
Sorry to hear this. LA were everything i expected and more. Mutants.

LA station (or very nearby) used to be a Saturday punch-up between fans going west to Port5cumouthy and those following Albion going east. It;s very run down in LA now and quite a contrast to Kensington especially when I travel down from London to LA but there is something abouts your roots and yeah there are problems but not everyone there is a yoof thug! Not everyone is toothless either but that may be on the increase as finding a Dentist aint that easy!

Very sorry this happened to her; it’s 2025 FFS and Sodexo’s response was extremely poor too.

But not in the least bit surprised that it was Littlehampton yobs. In fact, if you said what had happened without even mentioning the club my brain would immediately go to Littlehampton. They have a huge problem with violent, scummy fans on cocaine causing grief.

Wankers.

I just want to say that you don't owe us all updates on this, not least as it's obviously really upsetting for your daughter. Fair play to you for taking this up with Barber and co, but if you choose to (let them) deal with it behind the scenes, that's your call. If you choose to share, though, I'm interested in how the club acts on this.

There are plenty of sound Littlehampton fans, but obviously the big game get the knuckle daggers out.

They were being mildly irritating village idiots outside the Railway Bell beforehand too: throwing beer at people at the bus stop, abusing passing Horsham fans and then - and I saw them do this more than once - saying to passers by “I think you dropped something”, then going “aaha gotcha eh” when they turned around to look.

I’ve actually been detained in hospital ever since I saw this because my sides split so very hard at such an inspired and innovative piece of comic japery.

You have to think it’s getting to the point where there needs to be security at the kiosk, to try and prevent this somehow….
The day that there needs to be security guards stationed at the food kiosks, is the day that l give up watching football at the Amex, and retreat to the non-league game at l'il old Horsham YMCA every week.

Not too many shenanigans at the Gorings Mead tea bar.

Agree with all of this, and l'm sorry to say that it's the sort of thing one expects to encounter watching the national team, or the really big Premier League games.

But at non-league, grassroots level? . . . no way.
