It is amazing that these programmes are still commissioned. Maybe an effort to hold onto people like Quentin and the like? I haven't met a single person that has watched it AND enjoyed it.

Series 1 and 2 were shown to particularly difficult inmates at Guantanamo Bay until the Red Cross deemed it to be cruel and unusual punishment and suggested it was replaced by waterboarding.

If they showed that on CBBC I'd think "Blimey, they're dumbing down for the kids nowadays."

With the enforced budget cuts at the BBC you can now look forward to series 4 , 5 and 6.

Absolutely rubbish. The was the first time I saw it. How the hell did this get on the BBC lol
The jokes are poor, the acters are annoying, the acting is piss poor apart from quentin, and the laughter in the background is even worse.

with the exception of Gavin and Stacey, has there been any decent comedy since the 90's?

Never seen it, but the trailers made me suicidal. It made Last of the Summer Wine look cutting edge.

Caroline Quentin is just awful. I used to hate her scenes in men behaving badly. And how can something like blue murder ever be commissioned? Truly terrible.

How can the BBC think this awful dross is worthwhile, when they axe Zen. grrrrrr.

The big disappointment is that we don't follow the American example and make 25 episodes per series

Oh and The Boosh and The Flight Of The Conchords.

I flicked over and saw some of this utter dross last night. I did watch a few minutes though cos the young bird is quite fit. Unfortunately on my vinegar stroke they cut back to Caroline Quentin and that put me right off. I may write a letter of complaint to Points of View.
