Source?

Have you heard something from someone in the loop with our physio team..? ...or have you just made this up on the spot for no particular reason
I'll give you a source . . . From the west stand we can see hear and feel a heavy chugging . . . . Like something from Thomas the Tank engines nightmares.

Plays in a system that totally exposes the centre halves! Especially when the full backs and midfielders don’t mind losing possession so cheaply. The manager needs to be held accountable for this?

So did I, because he’s crap. I cannot believe we essentially swapped Gilmour for this bloke.
Fine margins at the highest level . . . . Neither have scored . . . .both are good . . . . Ayaris is already looking the better prospct IMO . . . . And he can see over the brow of the pitch, without heels.

As I said earlier in the week, the tactics don’t help him. In fact they play directly into his weakness, lack of pace. Thought he played ok, some vital block, but lost his concentration a few times most notably at the corner. But any errors are devastating with so much space behind you and little pace. We’ll get played at this way to the solution is found.
He's had a remarkable career, especially in the PL, but he's never had pace. But football at this level is no longer played like it was when we joined the PL and if you don't have pace, you'll get found out. There are only a few exceptions. The problem isn't the tactics, it's Lewis.
I'd gone to the toilet when they got their first but there were several errors prior to that. He wasn't concentrating.

Indeed, Dunk is fine when the game is in front of him, but he hasn't got enough pace or mobility to play a high line anymore, especially when other players aren't adept at dropping in to cover positionally.

I'm told that England training last summer was pretty much full-on every day and after that Dunk had a very brief holiday before coming back for pre-season. He's running on fumes right now.
Why would he be running on fumes?

He was out for six weeks in October/November and another seven weeks between the Chelsea and Forest cup games. He should be the freshest member of the squad?

When was he off though? You think he was sat on his ass not doing anything in that time???
Why do people think soccer players do nothing outside of games!?

I absolutely think it's down to the current system being a real struggle for Lewis.
I commented on another thread right at the beginning of the season I had never seen Lewis's face so stressed.
Obviously injuries and age haven't helped either. I hope he's OK because he's always been a legend for Albion but I don't think he's enjoying it much at the moment.
Don't know what the answer is, but I hope for him, whether at the Albion or somewhere else, next season is more enjoyable.

Those injuries may not be entirely unconnected to that long 2023-24 season.

Anyone else notice him midway through the second half looking like he was about to collapse? He looks like he is playing in pain and has done most of the season.

I don't think he can be considered as a regular starter next season, and unfortunately, we all know Webster can't stay fit for more than a few games at a time. With Cashin seemingly written off by the manager (not getting in when we have one available CB is pretty damming) and Igor being Igor (sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit), I think we need two new CBs in the summer. Hopefully Boscagli and one other.

Credit where credit is due, and he's been a big part of our success, but he's starting to look a bit Soccer Aid now.

Trying to get back for that 1st goal today he looked f***ed and he looks like he knows he is. Needs to be phased out.

Don't worry about it... he will be phased out.

He turns 34 in November and has one or two seasons left as a backup and then its good night. Hopefully the fans of Brighton & Hove Albion can avoid building some sort of hate campaign around him that makes him feel forced to leave the club, but I really don't know. Cashin played 20 minutes before he found it necessary to turn of comments on his Instagram, quite obvious that there's a sentiment of highly toxic fans especially on social media.

Perhaps we should let him fully recover from his injury before we write him of and declare him a traitor to the club.

We need to hold our nerve here.
