I am afraid his legs have gone , time to make a change, injuries have finally caught up with him

Source?

Have you heard something from someone in the loop with our physio team..? ...or have you just made this up on the spot for no particular reason

I could have forgiven the mistakes or the slowness, but his attitude stank today. Not once did I see him organise or rally the team; he's the senior pro and captain, and he sulked around, throwing his arms in the air. Unacceptable.
Absolutely this - we lacked any leadership on the pitch today - from anyone.
The last 20 minutes was a capitulation to be ashamed of.

You could see the look of terror on his face each time Leicester knocked a ball over the top or down the side of the centre backs.
I’m going to be heartbroken when Dunk hangs up his boots but it’s not pleasant watching him struggle.
Father Time catches up with everyone eventually.

He's only 33.

He's had a significant time out through injury recently and has been forced back into the first XI early because of injuries and suspensions.

Let him get his match fitness back FFS.

Football fans are morons. Not you specifically, but in general.

He's playing 90 mins whilst not match fit because we have an injury crisis and it's showing. He may well be past his best, but the ridiculous bi-polar nature of some posters on here are absolutely ridiculous. Two matches between brilliant and get rid.

Still the Albion's GOAT

Luckily Fab, PB and Tone are a little more mature, long term, balanced (and successful) than some on here.

He’s never been a natural captain to be honest, he assumed the position due to seniority and his performances on the pitch. There were always better leaders in the team - Bruno, Lallana, Webster, Gross etc - and we are noticably missing all of them at the moment.

He may ‘only’ be 33 but he’s never been blessed with pace and is only to continue to get slower, the style of football we play is exposing him constantly to sprint races which he can’t compete in. Today he had to a lot of heavy lifting having two midfielders either side of him and losing his main layer of protection in Baleba, but it just didn’t look right, constantly getting caught high up the pitch, it’s tough on him. I’m not here to write him off but it does look as though he’s massively struggling, maybe he isn’t 100% fit but I just think our system is a bad fit for him.

Do you believe Dunk is part of the long term plan?

Isn’t there a quote or old adage somewehere about professional footballers as a rule of thumb have 500 games in them? What is Dunk reaching now, 494?

It’s not a hard and fast rule as the players with 600 appearances might tell you, but there is probably on average an element of truth to it.

As with a car sometimes it’s not how old it is but how many and the type of miles it’s done.
