Walcott: superb skill, blinding pace, but no delivery, no awareness of other players or indecision. might get better, but just seems to lack football brain. also lightwieght and stays down when nudged.

Lennon: superb skill, blinging pace, awareness of players and improving delivery

i wouldnt even take Walcott, though he will be going as 5th stiker (where his raw talent will make up for deficencies).

its a shame Johnson lacks real frightening pace like Lennon and Walcott.

You need to have either Lennon or Walcott in the side just for that really as we dont have it on the left hand side.

I wouldn't say Walcott had much skill, if he did he'd be a lot better than he is now, he just seems to run into the defender in front of him half the time. He is SO reliant on that pace, and nothing else, very little skill, very little intelligence of movement (I'm starting to think that hat trick against Croatia was a bit of a fluke) - he doesn't seem to have developed as a player at all since he was 16.

Clearly Lennon. His final ball has improved immeasurably under Redknapp and his coaching team.

I think we all want to LIKE Walcott but that Croatia game is looking like a freak accident, rather than the norm.

The bottom line is even teams like Mexico keep the ball better and are more skilful. England's 3 strengths are Rooney, set pieces and pace, therefore if, like Walcott, you have pace the manager will cut you more slack.

My whole attacking philosophy would be to use Lennon, then Walcott to blitz down the right, drag the defence all over the shop and give Rooney space to work.

Joe Cole, SWP or even Gerrard with one of the above to come on later in the game if an injection of pace is required.

Can we cut Beckham's right leg off, cut it down to the right size so they don't have to hobble, and then have the ability to 'attach' it in replace of either Lennon's or Walcott's? No? Didn't think so.

Thats a myth that gets over used. 10 assists and 3 goals in 22 league games isnt a bad return for someone with no end product.

I assume you are talking about Lennon. So to go with this, on Monday, someone in the pub I was in said in 09/10, for England, Lennon had 3 or 4 assists in 5 games. Which also isn't bad.

I cannot believe the results are so in favour of Lennon. He's had his chance in the past and failed. There's a buzz about Walcott and he puts the fear of god into foreign defences (as does Crouch)

Add to that Milner only got 2 more assists in 14 more games and 1 more goal in open play.

I think the "myth" about Lennon having no end product was true until the last season or so, he has been far better since then.
