Which bit? Only my opinion but who wouldnt say Buckley would fancy a pay day.......Leeds ARE a bigger club than us Fact.....they may make the play-offs....McCormack would be a good swap but he is probably on big wages and could probably play for a bigger club than Leeds let alone Brighton......Arhhhhhhh where have I gone wrong on the gash-ometer?

That's not how sell-ons work.

If they have a '20% sell-on', that generally means that they get 20% of any figure OVER the original transfer value. For example (if the hypothetical 20% was correct in this case) if we bought Buckley for £1m, and sold him for £2m, Watford would get an additional £200k (not £400k). We wouldn't LOSE money if we sold him for the same amount ( ignoring agent's fees, signing-on fees, wages, medical costs, etc, etc, etc )

Ah, I see. Many thanks.

Still, didn't we turn down £5 million for him this time last year? Would be very odd to now accept a million or so for him.

The Mail on Sunday were reporting yesterday that Palace are after Buckley too.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis wants to sign Brighton forward Will Buckley.
Sunderland are also interested in Buckley, 24, who has only scored one goal this season, albeit playing in a wide position.
Pulis wants two defenders, a striker and is also interested in Stoke's Matthew Etherington.

For the benefit of Younger seagulls fans, Leeds were once a mighty albeit dirty side. But they're recovering and nearly have attendances as big as ours.

:lolol: Because they are doing well, last season they were barely making 20-21 thousand, Leeds support, although vast, is EXTREMELY fickle. They are also one of the most self important groups of supporters on a whole, they think they have some divine right to be in the premiership despite the fact they haven't been there for ny on 10 years now.

I'm not saying Leeds aren't a bigger club than us though.

You forget Leeds is in Yorkshire, self proclaimed 'gods country...zzzzz...they seem to forget everyone is equally proud of their roots, just don't see need to tell everyone in their opening sentence; which is usually spoken in a very shouty manner too :)

There are lots of other clubs in Yorkshire who despise them even more than the rest of the country. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

True - they're slightly less annoying but still annoying when playing collective t'yarkshir card
