Signing a player from Sheff Wed who has difficulties with his current manager.

Deja Vu?

Hat trick on his debut then? That would go down well with the Sheffield United fans...

We will probably never know, however it would be interesting when this transfer window closes, to know just how much MM was given to spend on players. Lee Peacock, I would guess having moved from BC to SW, would require money to move daaan sarf, and if we are haggling over Henderson when offering £35k ish, leads me to believe that a relocation package for Peacock would be out of our price range.

I do wait to be pleasantly surprised though.

He wants to move down south to be nearer his family.

Although its thought he'll go to Swindon. 100 league goals, not bad!

How fickle the memory is. He was absolutely dynamite at Bristol City, a couple of years back. I remember cheering myself silly when he was due to miss the play-off final.

Let's face it, a striker who is currently banging them in, and perhaps getting the 5 in a game you speak of, is not going to be coming anywhere near our club.

Our BEST opportunity is a player with true ability, and a goalscoring pedigree, that for one reason or another is simply not firing this season.

A change of club, a fresh start, and they rediscover their previous form. THAT is the market we are in. We must accept it!

Akinbiyi is a good example, the most villified player in the country who couldn't score from a yard out at Leicester, now arguably the best striker in the CCC

Why do people think we will get Shipperly?

I haven't seen any indication that Warnock will let him go and he's been scoring quite regulary for them...

Peacock would be a decent option in my opinion, a decent lower league forward with a good goalscoring record. Free, which would presumably mean we could afford wages for him.

He miles better than McGammon or McPhee with a good physical presence, experienced and available....

Oh, I don't know if it's been posted on here, so I'll wait for the Kanchelskis replies....
I was in Glasgow yesterday and I got to reading a copy of the Daily Record as you do and in there was an article stating that the Albion had bid £100,000 for Clyde Striker Tom Brighton and that the manager Graham Roberts wants to reject it, but because his contract is up in the summer and they had lost out last season on someone else under 24 who went on a bosman, for very little in compensation, the board were likely to accept an improved offer, if one came.

He looked a good player against Celtic but I haven't seen enough to have an opinion on him.

Dean White was in scotland at the weekend so this could be a possiblilty

However the Argus said that Dean White didn't think the player he looked at on Saturday was good enough, so that avenue is now closed.

It all depends, if MM can perform some sort of Butters style transformation on him then that would be great.
