With Spurs Having 3 strikers and on the look out for a 4th maybe a fresh attempt to sign Barnard maybe worth it?
Also Jamie O Hare would do a very good job in place of Oatway.

He's hardly a target man though is he, or a household name.AlexFrutos said:Sorry to drag this back in the vague direction of the original point, but:
Yes, I think another attempt to sign Lee Barnard on loan might at least be worth a shot, seeing as Spurs seem to be signing up any players going at the moment and so he may be pushed down the pecking order to the point where they would loan him out

paddy said:The question is does Barnard want to play under MM? I think that one of the reasons we haven't signed household names this season is largely due to the kind of management. Taking away all the personel, the club is no less desireable now than it was when Adam's was here (infact you could argue it is more attractive due to the new stadium on the horizon). Adam's was able to sign the kind of players we are in short supply of now. So you have to ask the question, why can Adam's do it and not McGhee? It comes down to the fact that most players want to improve and they can see themselves doing that under someone like Micky Adams, however it is obvious that they can't see Mark McGhee being able to help them improve. Just look at CKR - he was full of potential, to the extent that Premiership clubs were interested, however MM has done little to turn the potential into a good player. CKR is much the same player now as he was when he joined last season.
Oatway brings something to the team which no other player in the squad can currently do - and sense of fight, passion, leadership. Admittedly, that says more about the others than it does about Charlie, but your insinuation that he holds little value to the team doesn't stand up.LANGDON SEAGULL said:I believe we won more games without Oatway than with
