The victim is still in hospital.

Some of my daughter's friends were there.

Not looking good for Barnard

Wasn't looking good for Gerrard either, but surprisingly a jury of Scousers acquitted him...

Hope they are all going to give a good witness account of what happened

Harding is 26, doesn't necessarily mean he was one of those nicked though does it?

The original 'Lee Barnard?' thread last night, started BEFORE this was in the news, stated that the trouble kicked off over some B'muff fan having a go at Harding.

Stick Barnard on trial in Postsmouth then, cant see them being too leinient with a Saints player

:lolol:

Disappointingly, I don't think Portsmouth has a Crown Court- which is the more likely destination for any case arising out of this matter- only a magistrates' court. Don't they use Winchester Crown Court a lot round those parts? I always see it on BBC South programmes

Anyhoo, he's not that likely to be recognised in the same way Gerrard is- he's a third division player at a noddy club.

Almost certainly Winchester, assuming it reaches court.

The good folk of Winchester are more into Volvos, Laura Ashley, and flicking themselves off to David Cameron posters, than football, which is terribly common.

They do have their own football team, of course, managed by our very own Guy B.

[Speaking of which - we need to sort that out, Hiney].

Our big game is against Brighton our main rival for promotion. Routine win against a bottom of the table club for us.
No spirit, no money and no hope thats the once mighty saints.

I 2nd this wisdom. The only game on the south coast worth watching is the TOP OF THE TABLE clash between the seagulls and cherries next saturday. Good choice by sky sports. Can they see into the future?

A draw or a Bournemouth win today.

Er yeah - pre the match!!

The match was their cup final but after coming out of the traps strongly they soon surcumbed to our class. Trust me, Saints will be up there with BHA come May, not Bournemouth. Bournemouth are a tiny club who have turned into a bunch of gobshites.

That would be an amazing final though (if we won).
South Today would go into meltdown:-

'oh and the opposition for our big game will be some team called B right on, I dunno, either, must be northerners'.
