FFS. First our owner dies, then the manager situation and now this !!

Thought for a long time that this was not destined to be our season and we would take 3 years to get out like Leeds and Forest.

Quite frankly, no. It was comment / rumour about a rival League One club on a chat board for a League One club.

What's strange is a STAINS fan spending all his days on a Brighton chat board just because his brothers post there. Don't you see enogh of them FFS? (Well, except Stumpy, obviously) :lolol:

All my days ??

Brighton chat board - I'm from Brighton. There are plenty of threads about Brighton the town/city, as well as threads about other clubs (in particular us) and other issues. You in charge of this board then??

Indeed, although to be fair, with your threadbare squad of youth-teamers, that's no surprise.

Discipline at Southampton seems a bit shit from the management to the players. Here's hoping their season continues to implode, after their mini revival recently.

Leeds and Forest are MUCH bigger than you, can't see why you'd want to compare yourself to teams that have made European Finals?

yes they are. All I'm saying is that I've always had a feeling it would take us three years a la those 2. I didn't make any comparisons to club size.

TBH the difference for us has been Lallana more than anyone else. I went to the game on saturday it was obvious what we had been missing. Still reckon its the excitement of the play offs for us though (and Brighton).

Our big game is against Brighton our main rival for promotion. Routine win against a bottom of the table club for us.
No spirit, no money and no hope thats the once mighty saints.

I 2nd this wisdom. The only game on the south coast worth watching is the TOP OF THE TABLE clash between the seagulls and cherries next saturday. Good choice by sky sports. Can they see into the future?

A draw or a Bournemouth win today.

Albion vs Southampton final would be an absolute Nightmare for the losing team though..just the thought of losing it would make it the final I dread the most.

Southampton footballer Lee Barnard held over assault
Lee Barnard Barnard signed for Southampton Football Club from Southend United in January

A Southampton football player has been arrested in connection with an assault in a city centre bar.

Lee Barnard, 26, was arrested along with three other men aged 31, 26 and 25 during the early hours of Sunday.

The arrests were made after a 27-year-old man was found unconscious with serious head injuries outside the White House, in Above Bar.

The striker, who suffered a hand injury, was also taken to hospital. He was bailed until Wednesday.

Police were called to the bar at about 0245 BST Sunday to reports that a man had been assaulted.

A spokesman added: "A 27-year-old man had suffered head injuries and was unconscious.

"He was taken by ambulance to hospital.

"Four men, 31, 26, 26 and 25, were arrested by police on suspicion of assault.

"One of the 26-year-olds was street bailed and taken to hospital with an injury to his hand. He is due to answer bail on October 6."

Barnard signed for Southampton Football Club from Southend United in January.

A spokesman for Southampton FC was unavailable for comment when contacted by the BBC.
