.. Sorry mate, i know it happens everywhere, i've seen it in almost 100 different grounds watching the seagulls over the years, but still cannot understand WHY!!! For the sake of 10 minutes what is it all about? I wonder how many goals have been missed over the years by these people. I would have sick as a parrot if i'd missed that goal yesterday. Perhaps some early leavers can explain the reasoning behind it, cos i cant think of one.

Maybe its because everyone in the South Stand has to leave via the same small area rather than via several, spaced out exits you get at a lot of grounds.

To make it easier, a fair few leave their seats early and watch from the running track so that they can still see the action but are not stuck behind a couple of thousand fans making their way out at the same time - especially if they are going to catch the park and ride buses and don't want to stand and wait ages in a queue waiting for the buses to return after taking the first set of fans to reach them back to the P&R sites.

Also the limited accessability around the stadium for fans to get there is a factor, the lack of nearby on street parking due to the no parking zone surrounding the ground and therefore heavier than normal reliance on public transport to get fans to and from the game must also play a part

In the wider scheme of things - no of course it isn't and I've left matches before the end (but never the cinema or theatre!)

It's just that given the circumstances of Saturday's game I find it 'odd' that there were people who clearly had half a mind on getting out of the ground promptly as opposed to being absorbed in the spectacle and waiting on the final dénouement. So, no biggie, but I find it hard to get my head round it at times.

And I accept that people watch from the running track (again, I've done that and it's like being at a 'proper' game), it's the mindset of the people who actually vacate the ground before they've 'seen how it ends' that I find hard to understand. (And in all cases it IS a pain if you want to stay in your seat and you've got loads of people wanting to get past).

No not allowed this week. Saving money and using the harvest moon. If it's good enough for Elizabethan farmers................

well let's hope you dont trip over in the mayhem that ensues when we win then. That woud be such a shame.

I missed Huddersfield's 7th goal last season by leaving early! In fact I was already on the M62.

I don't blame you i'd have left after their 4th unfortunatley i wa sin a corporate box with 9 Town fans - One of the worst football games i have had to endure. December the 11th will be different!
