Morning folks. Dunno if its been posted before, i went to work straight after the game yesterday, and its a bit difficult getting on here while driving a cab round Worthing (passengers seem to think you're not in control of the vehicle). Anyway to all those who left early, NAH!! Surely its not that important to get the bus that you cant stay behind to see the end of the game and applaud the boys off. I was still on the bus and back in the car by 5 40ish and in Worthing by 6. Perhaps you've learnt your lesson?

The South Stand was being evacuated like there'd been a fire scare at about 89 minutes and there were barely any of us left going THOROUGHLY MENTAL at the end.

I just cannot understand the thinking behind leaving early at games, ESPECIALLY at 1-1 with us pushing the way we did in the last 15 mins. I really dont care if it takes me an extra amount of time to get home as the game is the reason i left home in the first place.

It's like the wallies that start evacuating the stand about ten minutes before half time to be first in the queue for a dogburger. Really makes you wonder why they bother going at all.

I was going to post this. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would ever leave early in any game, but yesterday, with the score 1-1 and pressing for the winner to send us top of the league for the first time in a few years, why oh why would anyone be leaving even before the extra minute board gets shown.

Pornomagboy aside (See NSC Gold) I would love to hear from anyone who left early yesterday and just ask them what could possibly have been so important that they felt they had to go?

People HAVE to get on that bus they must must must get home. Soon some will leave soon as they have walked through the turnstile.

For the first time in ages yesterday I went out of town (well Southwick) straight after the game so was intending to get the 5.18 from PPark.

But no way would I LEAVE before the end with the Albion throwing everything forward at 1-1.

I can so see why people get so pissed off with the Albion on the attack, with other fans heads bobbing up and down in their view and hesitating on the steps.

If you commit to the Albion on a Saturday at least stay until the final whistle.

I got the 5.11 in the end. But I did leave on the restart:blush:

Speaking of pornomagboy, he may well have left early again yesterday. When I got back to the Brewery Tap after the game he was serving behind the bar

To be fair to the lad, he did have to be on the wrong side of the bar by 5 o'clock. Well, that's what his girlfriend told me anyway... :lolol:

Most people go stand down the front on the track and watch the remainder of the game from there.

. Sorry mate, i know it happens everywhere, i've seen it in almost 100 different grounds watching the seagulls over the years, but still cannot understand WHY!!! For the sake of 10 minutes what is it all about? I wonder how many goals have been missed over the years by these people. I would have sick as a parrot if i'd missed that goal yesterday. Perhaps some early leavers can explain the reasoning behind it, cos i cant think of one.

Very smug about all those who missed the winner. I thought it would be a draw but getting a goal with the last kick of the game is what makes this game great.

But people don't leave the early, they just go hang out on the track. I do it every game as do about 2000 others

I actually think it's rude. It's rude to the people who have to stand up to let people leaving past, rude to the row behind who get their view blocked by people standing up and rude to the team. It doesn't happen at the cinema or theatre so why at the football.

Agreed. I know people often have their reasons for leaving early and sometimes when the result is a foregone conclusion you can make a case for people legging it to get an early bus or train - especially if we're getting thrashed and it's pissing down.

But yesterday? Ye gods! There is absolutely NO point in attending a football match in the first place if you're going to walk out of something like that with five minutes to go simply because it'll make your journey home easier. As you say no one leaves an exciting film before the climax, so why a football match?

And it IS a pain standing up and sitting down standing up and sitting down standing up and sitting down standing up and sitting down just to let people out of their seats early.

I went to see speed racer at the cinema and half the audience left before the finish (admittedly there was only 8 to start with). One of myfriends walked out of dumb and dumberer. People walk out of the cinema early quite frequently.

But they dont ACTUALLY leave the ground, most go down to the track to watch then they can get a quick exit :)
