I thought it was because when we dip into the transfer market the negotiations don't go "We know you've got £27m to spunk" but int his case, are we dipping into the market or just going to make do with what we've got and hope to sustain our form and not get injuries or suspensions
So you think that any negotiations now won't start with 'We know you've just trousered £21M going on to £27M quid'?

Blimey!

Probably the player most symbolic of the Potter era, which is probably why I am not really upset about this.

No doubt he has been great for us, and it's a real shame it ended like it did, but things are feeling fresh and new under RDZ and whilst I'm sure he could've thrived under him, it's just a new chapter for all parties and that's fine.

Sadly inevitable. It’s a shame the Premier League is such a money magnet. Prices clubs from a lot of other leagues out of coming in for our players. I’m just getting a bit tired of seeing our players head off to rivals in the same competition. It would all be a little easier to take if he’d mooched off to Spain/Italy/France/wherever.

I'd like to wish him good luck, but I can't be arsed. Thanks for some great performances Leandro, it's a shame you went AWOL on other occasions. And, it's a pity it ended the way it did. Still, your agent got a nice cheque in the post from North London.

So long, thanks, and I hope you don't end up warming the bench too much. If you don't, then there's no pressure - after all, the Gunners are only leading the league, so the worst you can do is play every game and miss out on the title.

I would imagine Tony Bloom is a bit tired of it as well, but that the blow is softened by the inflows of cash from players that we have developed. His M.O. of trawling the world for wonderkids who won't expect top PL wages, seems to be working. But is it sustainable? Can we use this process to compete with the big 6/7 long term? I'm not sure. I would like to think he can tie them in for a few years contractually, but I don't know how or if it would work.

Adam Lallana not pulling any punches.

"You only need to look at the last three games without him, I think it’s been 5-1, 4-1 and 3-0,” he told Sky Sports. “So as I said to you earlier, players can leave Brighton but we’ve got enough without them.

“We had enough without [Yves] Bissouma, [Marc] Cucurella, Ben White, Dan Burn, when Neal [Maupay] moved on. So if Leo moves on we’ll cope. We’re coping already.”

Never seen an interview like that with one of our players. Even though not club captain, Lallana is coming across as our leader on the pitch reminiscent despite differences in style of play of the legendary Brian Horton.

No point worrying about it. Just lay back and enjoy it!
