Young lad gaining experience doesn't mean he's not good enough. Judge players on performance, I doubt you've seen him preform! Players come from obscure locations frequently (Austin, Doyle, Long, etc...).

Put the resources towards LB, CB and attacking midfielder.

Imagine - Ulloa (God forbid) gets injured in august which leaves Barnes and Barker (CMS due back in September & Hoskins Who knows?) Barnes gets a red surprise surprise and we have Barker.

If he is cheap to keep then it would be worth it if he convinces the club he's good enough.
