Mmmm, not sure you can seperate support for Hamas entirely from Islamic terrorism. One man’s freedom fighter, one man’s terrorist etc..the reason David Amess was killed which was a failure of the intelligence services to deal with Islamic Terrorism.
Agree that it is difficult to separate those two, however, the two incidents in question were at completely different times, and I can not see a fundamentalist radicalised by attending a gig of a band with Rhino Ket as a song. They've apologised, and that is probably it. The phrase 'No Good Tory, except a Dead Tory' has not been an uncommon phrase I've heard recently, after the 13 years of Tory government a lot of people were left angry, and it was pretty flippantly used, its nothing ground breaking. The Hamas allegations obviously are a lot more serious as ultimately, whatever your views are they are a proscribed terrorist organisation.Mmmm, not sure you can seperate support for Hamas entirely from Islamic terrorism. What would. I like the band to do? Offer a genuine sounding apology for the use of words pertaining to dead Tories and killing MPs. No caveats, or excuses of words being taken out of context. Just an admission of stupidity and illegality.
As for anti-semitism? It is a word without value in the modern world, overused by those defending the indefensible. I wholeheartedly support any campaign to stop Israel continuing to kill and maim with impunity.
As an aside what's Mike Skinner done?“yeah but they made Fine Art” is being added to my vocabulary alongside “yeah but he made The College Dropout” & “yeah but he made Original Pirate Material”
It’s worrying that CASisDead is the least controversial of my favourite artists. Some mysterious drug dealer who says extremely homophonic and sexiest stuff but it’s funny and inventive so it’s fine.![]()
Release that dreadful 21st of June song.As an aside what's Mike Skinner done?

Spot on. The only reason they've denied support is because it puts them at risk of arrest. Really interested to see what their stage screen shows at their next gig. They're good lads that just don't want people being oppressed due to where they're from, it's pretty f***ing simpleAgree that it is difficult to separate those two, however, the two incidents in question were at completely different times, and I can not see a fundamentalist radicalised by attending a gig of a band with Rhino Ket as a song. The US, Canada, Japan, Britain and the EU is a fairly large chunk of the influential world to be fair. I don't agree with those countries but to say they're accepted not as a terrorist group globally is a bit of a stretchWhether organisations are proscribed as terrorists is often dependent on the political motivations of the country. The vast majority of countries in the world do not designate Hamas a terrorist group.
I'm not turning this into a Israel/Palestine thread, obviously as the Bozza has asked politely, but ultimately they'll have to skirt the law here, as that is ultimately the law in the country.Whether organisations are proscribed as terrorists is often dependent on the political motivations of the country.
