Notable near misses, include numerous loan signings and bargain basement deals, which should still be marked reduced to clear. Hilton, Mahoney-Johnson, Silky Dave and many more best forgotten. All told not a massive amount of money wasted on any of these.
Some with longer memories than me, might want to consider Micky Thomas and a few old timers on one last pay day Joe Corrigan anyone ? Justin Fashanu perhaps ?

I do have a blind spot here. I got pretty pissed off with Will Hoskins a few years back. The reserves lost 5-0 and next day Hoskins who played turned up to training wearing ugg boots. This though is on another level.

The residence in the picture doesn't look plush to me -- cheaply finished, if anything. And I'm sure that you could assemble a fancy dress outfit looking like that for a fiver from the charity shops in the London Road.

So, if you didn't know, I'm not sure you could deduce much about his wealth or income from this picture.

I agree, however, that he does look very, very silly indeed. I almost admire the chutzpah of someone who'd wear something like that in public, let alone distribute a picture of himself wearing it to the wider world via Twitter.
