Bloody Worthing!
Interesting little spat just started in the Tory party today, Priti Patel has accused fellow MP Tobias Ellwood of " Breaking " the rules on Covid-19 and suggests he could face a fine ! It seems like " The Pritster's" opinion on Covid-19 rules has hardened considerably since Dominic Cumming's jaunt to Durham and back ? Could this be a little bit of point scoring ? was Ellwood critical of Patel when she was outed as an " Unintentional Bully " ?

Ellwood(who actually seems like a relatively decent bloke for a Tory) was also very critical of the decision to send in the Navy to blow French fishermen out of the water. That marked him out for a 'briefing war' and he fell into the trap with that meal. It's been all over the Daily Fail.

Ah yes the Gunboat row, thats why he is getting the treatment, " Pritster" does not forget or forgive it seems.

Gods country fortnightly
Sadly you are right, the electors make the mistake of thinking that Mr R-M actually cares about their interests while Mr R-M is steering the political ship towards his own interests and those of his fellows.

Fool them with a few bits of socially conservative red meat and they get groomed. Once this has taken place pick their pockets.

The Tories have been doing this for decades, it works. Why stop?

Apparently, it's 700k which either means Unicef has more money than sense or they can't find any starving children in numerous third world/war-torn countries.

But what it actually means is that the tory government has managed, against all odds to create unprecedented poverty in one of the richest countries on earth. Even though Boris Johnson et al are criminally incompetent, that doesn't happen by accident.

If you really believe that money couldn't be better spent in other countries where children are dying by the thousands then you need to give your head a wobble.

This country is bogged down with people like you who will look for any alternative argument to laying the blame with the Tory government. No-matter how desperate that argument or how stupid it makes you look.
It’s people like you that have helped the Tories bring the U.K. to its knees.
There are kids in the U.K. who’s parents can’t afford to feed them. And you criticise UNICEF for feeding them, not the Tories for driving them into poverty.

Truly bizarre logic.

Rather depressing to see people supporting finite resources being sent here rather than saving thousands of children's lives across the world every day. I suppose giving Boris a kick is more important possibly combined with a bit of racism ..

We'll ignore your silly racism waffle and concentrate on facts; What children will miss out on UNICEF aid because British children are receiving it? No need to cite specific regions, just provide the countries and amounts of children who will miss out.

I have a feeling we won't see an answer to this.....

I fell out with my MP Mr Loughton over the vote to provide free school meals for children over Christmas when he abstained to vote isaying he did so as he had recently voted twice in the house opposing the Government and that he had to choose his battles!

It's true that in this privileged part of the U.K. we are cushioned against the worst but even so children are going hungry and UNICEF actions publicly hight light the deprivation prevalent within our society and it's shameful

well said, and it's nothing new, foodbank usage has been on a constant increase. Things won't change when the great brainwashed continue to vote for the interests of the wealthy and buy into their divide and rule ideology - as some of the replies on this thread go to show.

The 5.2 million* children who died in 2019 and the millions dying in 2020 certainly missed out. As for specific countries, Nigeria could probably do with increased Unicef support 858,000* under 5 deaths in 2019.

Side note: The Uk was the second biggest donor to Unicef in 2019 (first USA).
