Anyone who has been watching us more than a couple of years knows what Izquierdo brings to the team. We just need to be patient and allow him to get back to full fitness to show it. Andone is the same in many ways and if we can't bring anyone in, he'll be a fine addition to the squad and both put pressure on, and relieve pressure from, Connolly and Maupay. If either of them is having a bad patch, Andone can come into the side and it will mean they can get a rest from the pressure of needing to be among the goals every match.

Realistically, I think in an ideal world we would have sold Andone this summer and funded his replacement but that's not how it is so we should make the most of the players we do have. With respect to Potter, last season he fairly obviously didn't see a need for Schelotto or Jahanbakhsh in the first half of the season but when the team needed freshening up he gave both the chance to perform and both took it and became far more involved in the second half of the season. I have no doubt both Izquierdo and Andone would get the same fair treatment and be given the opportunity to earn their futures at our club.

Fantastic to see.

If (and it may be a big if) he can get back to his best, it really would be like a new signing.

Given average statistics over 500 Albion fans have been born and died since he last played, so yes it would

Could a fully fit Izzy challenge Solly for LWB or would he be exclusively used on the left of a front three?

If he could transition to being an effective LWB, him and Lampety would be quite a combination and would ask a lot of questions!

That is great so see. There are couple of u23 games in the next few weeks. Hopefully he could get some minutes.

Plus we play a Carabao Cup game next week. could he play against United, or at least a place on the bench?

With Izzy potentially back in the squad, our other transfer business, and youth team players coming through, we're looking vastly improved from last year with barely any outlay.

Needs to brought up to pace, a couple of 15 minute cameos before we see him start but maybe by the end of the year he'll finally be back. How long is left on his contract?
