Isn't it usually used in the context of an attempt to parody what a xenophobe might say? Actual xenophobes and bigots use coded or more blatantly derogatory terms.

Yep, always used in an attempt to mock bigots isn't it?
No doubt the OP is just trying to provoke a little 'you can't say anything anymore' whinge up, as per.

Johnny Foreigner taking our jobs now the pm is allowing them to stay what a f@cking liberty.

Absolutely...we voted for the foreigners be sent home , not bloody well staying here. Taking our jobs. If they all **** off we can have our country back, have no health and safety bollocks laws, and see a doctor, and get into hospital and get our kids in school and catch our fish and all sorts of things. We have been misled.

It's not offensive of course but who actually says that anyway? It's not the 1940s.

Use the term constantly, just a few weeks ago I addressed some Latvians who couldn't speak English in such terms.

Sadly they didn't seem to understand.

Exactly, they have even got lazy now and can't be arsed to pick fruit, round them up and send them packing.

Oh no!!!....thats the final straw ( berry ).....well you can't expect the locals to do it, its beneath their dignity. Why should they work for the minimum wage when they get paid more for sitting on their arses. Picking fruit, washing up, serving in fast food outlets is work for Johnny Foreigner and he should be grateful for it.
