I must be in the minority here but I'd be really sad to see Joao Pedro leave.

Provided we can sort whatever has gone on behind the scenes, I think he's got loads to offer.

Seasons are long, and he adds real muscle and movement to our forward line. I'm not sure we're in a position to dismiss a 10-goal a season striker yet. Especially one capable of playing the target man when required.

He's scored some HUGE goals for us and is a natural finisher.

I'm probably living in cloud cuckoo land, but I'd bloody *love* to have him and Mitoma in the squad next year.

He still has 3 years left on his contract, so we really don't need to let him go 'cheaply'. I've said it before, we spent £40m on Rutter, it really wouldn't make sense for us to sell Pedro for only £60m.

If we don't receive an acceptable offer I imagine he'll be keen to kiss-and-make-up, as ultimately he'll want to be playing regularly next season at whatever club he's at.

Hard to disagree, l like him too. But . . . if we receive an offer for him that gives us a substantial profit, then we will move him on.

It is the Brighton way of doing things after all.

With you. Love him.

One of those that won’t be fully appreciated by a lot of Albion fans until he’s gone.

Totally agree. There's no reason to suddenly start selling players on the cheap (which, I know, is laughable when talking about £50m+ fees). I firmly believe that a player that's 23, has 3 years on his contract, is proven at PL level in multiple positions and a full Brazil international should be at least £70m+ in the current market.

And the rest. Richarlison went for that didn’t he?!

I doubt fans of any club would be happy to see £70m splashed out on him. I wouldn't be. Surely overpriced.

23 year old, Brazilian international forward with a 1 in 3 goals to game ratio. Sounds like a player we'd love to sign if he wasn't ours, unlikely we could afford him though.

Absolutely should be trying to keep him at the club.

Inevitable.
Very few teams will pay that money so very interesting to see where he ends up. Quite clear the personal issues are him wanting to leave.

Looks like the agent has set the ball rolling. I would not be surprised if the source for Naylor's story was team Pedro either, no way the club would want that sort of thing reported or that an employee would risk their job by hanging the team's dirty laundry in public

No chance.
1. The media is reporting my client has missed a game because of personal reasons. Cue sympathy and a story that very quickly disappears.
2. My client has had a punch up with another player in training. Cue pitchforks.

No agent is choosing the second option over the first.

Maybe but I think this story starts to force the club's hand.

Anyway, it is what it is. Pedro has been a good player for us but I think we now have other players in his position that potentially offer more. If we can get a good fee I would not be too upset with this one. Absolutely no hard feelings.

I would be really sad to see him go but of all our top players he is the one I'd least be upset about. It would be devastating to lose Baleba, JPVH, Bart or Mitoma, they will be the ones other teams covet the most apart from Pedro & are an absolute must to keep.
